Developer’s Note: For the Wizard, the focus is on using Lightning Nova to empower your Primary Attacks with Electrocute, further stacking increases to your Primary Attack Speed, while mixing in Teleports for an additional layer of boosted damage.

Legendary Essence Extraction

A new method of Essence Extraction has been discovered! You can enhance your Legendary Attributes to increase their power by extracting the same essences multiple times. Legendary equipment can no longer be salvaged at the Blacksmith, and instead must be extracted. Essence Extraction still provides players with the same Upgrade Materials they would get from salvaging, but now, as you find duplicate Legendary equipment, your overall power will increase too.

When you find a new Legendary item, your first extraction will pull out the Legendary Essence and store it for you to inherit later, as it always has. Further extractions will grant you Essence Energy to increase your Essence Mastery level—however, extracting Essence Energy from a particular Legendary item will become more difficult with each Essence Energy you obtain from it, and eventually you will no longer be able to extract the energy from that Legendary item.

Additionally, you will now receive Upgrade Materials on the first extraction for every Legendary Essence and no longer must choose between gaining a Legendary Essence or Upgrade Materials.

As your Essence Mastery level increases, it will further enhance the power of all your Legendary Attributes. Some skills will receive damage bonuses, while others might receive cooldown reduction, or other effects. You can always view your current power and what bonuses you will get at the next Essence Mastery level at Zamina, the Essence Transfer NPC in Westmarch.

Developer’s Note: We have made this change to aid in improving the experience of finding duplicate Legendary items, and for farmers to gain power slightly faster, but without creating an overbearing obstacle for more casual players. Additionally, we wanted to create increased build diversity, providing players the ability to further specialize their builds if wanted. We recommend taking a look at your essence list to see what new synergies might be available to you now.

Dungeon Set Item Drops

All Dungeons will now drop a guaranteed Set Item after many Dungeon completions in a row that did not result in a Set Item being dropped. Dungeons boosted by the Codex have a lower threshold before a guaranteed Set Item is dropped.

Developer’s Note: As we continue to evaluate the state of Set Items, we identified the need to keep improving the player’s ability to acquire them. Set Item crafting was a great step forward and we believe this additional update will further aid players in acquiring the specific Set Items they want.

Cross-Server Dungeons

When a player is trying to find a Party for a Dungeon, if the Party Finder fails to find other players to join, it will search other Servers to fill the Party. Players can also invite players from other Servers to join the Party.

Immortal System Improvements

Immortals will now receive more information about the Shadows when alerted to Defend the Vault. Immortal Parties in the queue will see the Shadow Party that has queued to defend against them, along with the relative strength of the Shadow Party versus their Party. The Party Leader of the Immortal group will then be able to decide to either accept defending against the Shadow Party or pass, which will give another Immortal Party in the queue the opportunity to defend.

Immortal Party leaders can also automatically pass all Shadow Parties that are relatively stronger than their Party by enabling a new button in the Defend the Vault interface.

Rejoining the Shadows Faction

We are making the experience of rejoining the Shadows after a new Cycle of Strife begins easier. The lottery system has been replaced with a first-come, first-served system. An Adventurer who successfully signs up during one of the three daily recruitment periods beginning at 1:00, 7:00, and 10:00 p.m. server time can instantly embark on the trial to become a Shadow.

To join the Shadows faction, speak with the Mysterious Patron located in Westmarch’s Wolf City Tavern during the above-mentioned recruitment periods.

Treasure Hunter Paragon Tree

The Treasure Hunter Paragon Tree has been updated to remove the restriction of outdoor areas from the Treasure Find, Gold Find, and Lucky specialization skills.

Developer’s Note: As we look for ways to make each Paragon Tree a competitive and compelling choice for players, we sometimes find that the best way to increase the value of a tree means making its viability a bit less niche. This is the course of action we have taken with this update to the Treasure Hunter Paragon Tree, and we hope that it will incentivize you to find new use cases for this tree while still maintaining its core identity as the tree of choice for those looking to enrich their daily adventures in Sanctuary.

Battleground End of Season Ceremony

When a Battleground season ends, players will now receive a summary of their previous Battleground season the first time they talk to the Battleground Captain.

Converting Adventurer Clan

Converting an Adventurer Clan to a Dark Clan will now only cost five Akeba’s Signets.

New Resonance Wings

Two new sets of Resonance Wings have been added at the Resonance milestones of 2,000 and 4,000.

Tong-Shi’s Renewal Lunar New Year Event

Tong-Shi invites you to his Renewal—a call to bask in the fading glow of a finished year and begin the cycle anew—welcoming a new year with open arms and optimism.

From January 16, 3:00 a.m.–February 6 2:59 a.m. server time, players can complete up to three tasks a day to earn festive rewards, such as Red Bags and Tseym.

Players can also receive rewards such as the Divine Framework of Xiansai Portrait Frame and With a Bang Emoji for logging in on the following days: January 18, January 21, January 22, January 25, January 28, January 29, February 1, February 4, and February 5.

If you miss a login reward for one of these dates, do not worry, you’ll be given a quest to complete which will provide you with the missed reward once finished. Note that missed rewards must be claimed in chronological order.

Deliver and Receive Blessings with Red Bags and Tseym

Red Bags are celebratory Tong-Shi’s Renewal rewards that can be gifted to a friend. You’ll not only receive rewards when you open Red Bags sent to you, but you’ll also receive rewards for sending Red Bags to friends. Spread the blessings of Tong-Shi’s Renewal by sending and receiving as many Red Bags as you can get your hands on!

Completing daily event tasks can also yield Tseym. Turn in any Tseym you receive within the Tong-Shi’s Renewal event UI to receive ample rewards. Turning in Tseym has a second effect too—each Tseym will add towards Server-wide milestones, with each milestone met rewarding all players on that Server with a bevy of Battle Points. Players who contribute 88 Tseym will also receive a random Legendry Item for their class.

Lineage of Beasts Cosmetic Set

How better to best the beasts of the Burning Hells than to become one yourself? Adorn this primal cosmetic and tap into a lineage of beasts to become Sanctuary’s ultimate apex predator. The Lineage of Beasts Standard Cosmetic Set can be purchased from the in-game shop for 1,000 Eternal Orbs.

Season Nine Battle Pass: Wicked Wanderer

“We traveled for an eternity across that arid wasteland. How long, I couldn’t say. And, always, a dark cloud seemed to follow us just over the horizon.”
-A Lost Adventurer

The Wicked Wanderer, a new Battle Pass devoted to communing with your sinister side, has skulked into Diablo Immortal, and with it, the Season Nine Battle Pass on January 19, at 3:00 a.m. server time. This Battle Pass hosts 40 ranks worth of challenges and rewards, such as Legendary Gems, Crests, Hilts, and more.

The Season Nine Battle Pass only runs until February 16, at 2:59 a.m. server time—begin slaying demons and climbing your way through the ranks today!

Fractured Plane Limited-Time Event

In a place like Sanctuary, even those with the utmost mental fortitude can find themselves lost to the unrelenting darkness spread by the Burning Hells. Broken. Shattered. Trapped in the deepest recesses of their mind—entering the Fractured Plane is the only way forward.

The Fractured Plane is a limited-time event where players enter an unexplored realm of their existence. A 15-floor gauntlet, inhabited by the fiercest minions the Hells can throw your way awaits. Your journey in the Fractured Plane begins without your usual gear, gems, and skills. Instead, you will be provided with a set of pre-selected skills for your class. To advance, you must rely solely on your wits, unstable gear you find, and the Chaos Coins you receive from progressing through hordes of demons. Best of all, only unstable gear of Legendary rarity will drop in the Fractured Plane, and items you receive will complement the skills you begin with, equipping you with the ability to make, and tweak, your build on the fly. When your journey in the Fractured Plane is over, all the unstable gear you’ve collected will vanish.

The Chaos Coins you earn will also come to your aid—spent at the Chaos Broker, you can exchange Chaos Coins for new items or Shards of Fortune. These shards will increase your Fortune Rating, providing a greater chance of receiving higher-quality Legendary items from chests on each floor. If you’re resourceful enough to make it to the fifteenth floor without dying more than five times, you’ll receive a reward. Out of all the Legendary items you’ve encountered during your run, select six, and out of those six, you will be rewarded one at random for you to carry out of the Fractured Plane. This time around, you’ll also receive Tseym as a reward for your runs—turn your Tseym in at the Tong-Shi’s Renewal event menu to receive additional rewards and contribute to your Server’s progress!

Begin your journey towards mental ease soon—the Fractured Plane is available from January 16, 3:00 a.m.–February 6, 2:59 a.m. server time.

Hungering Moon

Feeling underfed, the moon has doubled its demands, providing you with an upcoming opportunity to sate its seemingly endless appetite for blood!

The moonlit path you’ll take to heed your lunar overlord’s increased howl for sustenance is ready to be traversed. Players can complete up to three tasks a day starting February 2, 3:00 a.m.–February 6, 2:59 a.m. server time. Through completing tasks, you’ll gain Astrolabe Power—the power can be used to draw a Blessing of Magic or Blessing of Might, each with unique benefits, from the Astrolabe. Use the blessings to gain Moonslivers, which can be exchanged for lunar-laced rewards.

Visit here for more information on the Hungering Moon event’s mechanics.

Diablo Immortal – Terror’s Tide Update (12/12/22)

Crash into Hell’s Minions in Terror’s Tide

Message from Blizzard:

Good tidings, adventurer.

Welcome to Terror’s Tide, our second Major Update for Diablo Immortal. This update is packed with a slew of changes to existing content and systems, as well as new content, such as the Stormpoint Zone, Voidwound Helliquary, and much more!

Hoist up your courage, because you’re going to need it in Stormpoint, our first post-launch Zone. Players will sail to the salt-scrubbed prison island to investigate a sinister plot to harness the power of the largest Worldstone shard, which has overtaken the island. To find out how you can embark on this new Questline, and to watch our developers reveal more details about the island’s grim past, see the Stormpoint section.

We want to take a moment to thank you for helping us reach this monumental milestone—it is an understatement to say this would be impossible to achieve without you, our community, and the incredible feedback many of you have provided since Diablo Immortal launched six months ago. Here’s to many more Content Updates!

Before we dig into this Major Update, because of the incoming holidays, we will not release a Content Update in two weeks as we traditionally have. Our next Content Update will come in early January of 2023.

As with previous Content Updates, there will be server maintenance starting on December 13, from 4 p.m.–6 p.m. PST for Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe Servers, and on December 14, from 12 a.m.–2 a.m. PST for servers in the Americas. After the maintenance has concluded, all items mentioned below will be live. Specific dates for any content going live afterward are provided below.

Introducing Hell Difficulties VI, VII, and VIII

Hell’s flames burn bright and hot, more now than ever before. Three additional Hell Difficulties have been added to aid players in raising their Paragon Level to never-before-achieved heights. In the Hell Difficulties menu, you will see that Hell Difficulties VI, VII, and VIII are new options. If battling the strongest nightmares to walk through Hell’s gates seems intimidating, don’t worry. Our new Sever Paragon Level experience and loot bonuses will elevate you to Hell VI promptly.

For more information on how to unlock all Hell Difficulties in Diablo Immortal, see the Voidwound Helliquary section.

Daily Activities

We have received a great deal of feedback from players stating they felt Legendary and Set items did not drop often enough. To address this, we are incorporating them seamlessly into daily activities so that players have more opportunities to receive these types of items. The following changes have been made:

  • The Bounty chest now has a higher chance to drop Legendary items.
  • Completing a Bestiary quest will now guarantee a Legendary item upon the first turn in each day.
  • Completing three dungeons will now reward a guaranteed Set item once per day. The Set item will be rewarded via the Codex.

Below Server Paragon System

To help prepare all adventurers for the dangers awaiting them in the new Stormpoint Zone, we have made some adjustments to the experience of catching up in Server Paragon Levels:

  • All servers below a Server Paragon Level of 320 will be set to a Server Paragon Level of 320.
  • The maximum Experience rewards for being below Server Paragon Level has been increased from 400% to 800%.
  • The chance to receive Legendary and Set items as a drop has been increased by 250% for players far below the Server Paragon Level—as a player gets closer to Server Paragon Level, these increased drop rates will decrease.

New Paragon Trees

Three new Paragon Trees are also arriving: Massacre, Brawler, and Duelist. We recognize that having new Paragon Trees locked behind specific Paragon Levels makes them feel more time gated and doesn’t necessarily feel like you’ve earned them once they are unlocked. As part of this update, we are shifting Paragon Trees to unlock at different Hell difficulties to help Hell difficulties feel more rewarding and allow player skill instead of grind time to provide early access to new Paragon Trees. Players that have already unlocked existing Paragon Trees will have those trees unlocked after the update and in every case, players should be able to unlock new Paragon Trees sooner than they could prior to the update.

Massacre: Focuses on increasing your efficiency as you rack up kills and raise your streak counter.

Brawler: Focuses on bolstering your defenses against Elite enemies. While in a party, this benefit will be shared with others.

Duelist: Focuses on utilizing Skills to stack damage bonuses—you must avoid taking damage to maintain these benefits. In the event you do receive damage, all the power built up will erupt outward in a Static Discharge, damaging nearby enemies.

We have also adjusted the way Cheat Death works:

  • Its cooldown has increased from 120 to 210 seconds.

Developer’s Note: Cheat Death’s effect is extremely potent in PvP, and we want deaths to have more meaning. Our intention is that increasing the cooldown will lead to fewer situations where multiple Cheat Death effects all stack together to provide long periods of immunity to dying. This should lead to more consistent skirmishes during a Battleground where a player’s death actually results in a death. This change should not have any real impact on other game modes where engagements won’t last long enough to see a second use of Cheat Death.

Monk Skills

We recognize the Skill unlock order for Monk puts some situational Skills, such as Shield of Zen and Inner Sanctuary, too early in the leveling experience, and players often don’t find a use for these Skills until late game. To address this, we adjusted the unlock levels for several Skills so that players can experiment with more offensive skills earlier in the leveling process. We hope this provides players with additional meaningful choices and allows them to experiment with their offensive skills to find a playstyle they enjoy.

  • Wave of Light now unlocks at level 20 instead of 41.
  • Exploding Palm now unlocks at level 28 instead of 20.
  • Flying Dragon now unlocks at level 38 instead of 47.
  • Shield of Zen now unlocks at level 41 instead of 28.
  • Inner Sanctuary now unlocks at 47 instead of 38.

Additionally, we have tuned some underused Monk Skills to promote their usage and additional builds for this class:

  • Flying Kick’s range was increased, and the cooldown was reduced from 12 to nine seconds. This cooldown reduction will also apply to all Legendary affixes for Flying Kick.
  • Cyclone Strike’s charge time was reduced to half a second and the radius was increased.
  • Wave Strike’s charge time was reduced to half a second and the radius of its explosions was increased.
  • Wave of Light’s damage was increased.
  • Exploding Palm’s debuff now also causes the enemy to Bleed. The Bleed effect will be applied to all Legendary affixes for Exploding Palm.
  • Deadly Reach’s attack area was increased and does full damage to your primary target and 30% of that damage to all other enemies in the area.

Set Items

After a review of our current Set items, we determined the Vithu’s Urges four-piece set bonus provided double the Attack Speed compared to what its in-game description stated. We have fixed this set, so it now provides the intended 30% Attack Speed. Since this particular set was overperforming by significant amounts, we wanted to create more parity between it and our other sets.

In this same vein, we concluded a few other sets could benefit from tuning too. We have changed the following set bonuses to:

  • Windloft Perfection (Two-Piece Bonus): Gain Thousand Winds when in combat, increasing your Movement Speed by 15%. Thousand Winds deactivates for two seconds if you take damage.
  • Issatar Imbued (Two-Piece Bonus): Each time you defeat an enemy, gain 30% increased Movement Speed for three seconds.
  • Feasting Baron’s Pack (Four-Piece Bonus): Increases damage done from all sources by 20% to enemies suffering under your loss of control effects.

Hero’s Journey

Following the maintenance windows for this Major Content Update, all current progress for Hero’s Journey Chapters One through Six will be paused and a new Hero’s Journey will begin. Only Chapters One through Four will be available for the new Hero’s Journey, with Chapters Five and Six coming later.

To ease Chapter completion, we have removed all Zone event tasks from Hero’s Journey. While completing their Chapters, adventurers will receive a bevy of rewards, and once Chapter Four is completed, they will receive the Boundary Walker Portrait Frame—a token of triumph.

This Hero’s Journey is planned to be available for about six months, similar to the first iteration—we will update you once we have an exact end date confirmed.

Shadow War

Players that become the Immortal in Shadow War will now experience a new Stamina mechanic. Whenever they move throughout the battlefield, the Stamina bar will begin to drain. When the Stamina bar is fully depleted, the Immortal will incur a movement speed penalty. The Stamina bar will begin to recharge only when the Immortal stands completely still.

Developer’s Note: As we took stock of the current state of Shadow War, we noticed that the main win condition for Immortal players comprised of constantly moving throughout the battlefield to kite the opposing Shadows as much as possible. The goal of the strategy was to limit how much damage the Shadows could consistently deal, hoping to ultimately time out the encounter. With the implementation of this Stamina mechanic, we believe this strategy will become less viable and should provide more opportunities for the Immortal to commit to fighting the Shadows rather than running away, making the encounter more dynamic for both sides.

Dungeons

  • There is now a Blacksmith located at the end of all dungeons.
  • Ancient Elites can now randomly appear in dungeons. Remember, your first Ancient Elite kill of the day guarantees a Legendary item will drop.
  • A Waypoint has been added next to the Cavern of Echoes dungeon in the Frozen Tundra zone.

Charms

  • Increased the chance to roll a +10% modifier while imbuing Charms.

New Zone and Questline: Stormpoint

Once a player has reached Hell Difficulty III, has completed the Starsign quest, and is at least level 60, they may travel to Stormpoint, Diablo Immortal’s first post-launch Zone! Battered by rainfall and caked in mist, the island has long been used as a clandestine prison to house Sanctuary’s worst of the worst and political prisoners. Diablo’s servants—the Cult of Terror, are sieging Stormpoint Keep in an attempt to retrieve the largest shard of the Worldstone. Putting their sinister plan to rest requires your urgency, adventurer. But watch out, the behemoth Howling Terror watches your every move from the lightning-filled skies above.

This zone contains a main story Questline, 20 new monsters straight out of Hell’s depths, new bosses and minibosses, and a horde of crabs.

For a taste of the nightmares the Worldstone has conjured on Stormpoint island, watch our Developer Update video on Terror’s Tide.

Brumaltine Limited-Time Holiday Event

With the moon as their witness, the townsfolk of Westmarch shuttered their businesses early. Some gallantly strolled, others bolted in a fit of excitement. “To Rakkis Plaza, quick!” a man carrying a hefty stone carving adorned with an archaic sigil yelled. The spectacle brewing in the town’s center was that of legends—the plaza was bathed in radiance and warmth oozed from nearby hearths, handheld lanterns, and unwieldy torches. A tree, barren of green, but teeming with crimson candles dominated the festivity’s center. As the plaza began to host numerous souls, presents of various ornamentation, and the exchanging of handmade cards, a cry rung about:

“May warmth fill your heart throughout the new year!”

From December 14, 3:00 a.m.–January 4, 3:00 a.m. server time you can show your adoration for continued warmth and safety during the Brumaltine limited-time holiday event. Each day, players can complete up to three daily tasks in exchange for snow-dusted rewards and progress towards grander rewards.

Each weekend, players can log in to receive celebratory Brumaltine gifts. Players can also participate in the Brumaltine tradition of trading greeting cards with friends. Visit the Brumaltine in-game menu for more details!

New Cosmetic Set: Grakkinskin

Stray too far into the night on Brumaltine, and you will only survive the cold as a Grakkin. Transform yourself into a winter-worn nightmare by purchasing the Grakkinskin Standard Cosmetic Set from the in-game shop for 1,000 Eternal Orbs.

The Voidwound Helliquary

Long ago, witches of the Sharval Wilds sealed away demons of darkness. Now, the pieces of their damaged cage rain down, and their centuries-old machinations threaten Westmarch as well as the lands beyond. The new Voidwound Helliquary becomes unlocked by completing the prologue quest, The Chainbreakers, which is available at player level 60.

This expansion to the Helliquary brings with it some exciting changes:

  • Helliquary Raids may now be soloed across all difficulties.
  • The difficulty of each Helliquary boss will significantly increase with each Hell Difficulty. To triumph over evil, we recommend recruiting allies to your cause.
  • To unlock new Hell difficulties in Diablo Immortal, you must defeat corresponding Helliquary bosses.
  • Players may now party up across Hell Difficulties I–IV. Dungeon difficulty will scale to each party member’s respective Hell difficulty, as will any experience gains and loot drops.

Demonic Remains have also been reworked in the following ways:

  • Demonic Remains will now drop after each Helliquary boss is slain. You will only receive remains for your first five kills following each Helliquary reset on Monday and Thursday.
  • The Trophies tab of the Helliquary menu now contains various slots for you to assign Demonic Remains to. Each Demonic Remain provides various bonuses to Challenge Rifts when placed in a slot. Previously, you could only have one active Demonic Remains bonus, now you may now have up to five.
  • The attributes provided by each Demonic Remain will scale to the Hell Difficulty you received it from—so, we challenge you to climb to higher Hell Difficulties for the best rewards.

Here’s how to unlock Hell Difficulties I–V:

  • Felling Lassal the Flame-spun unlocks Hell Difficulty I
  • Felling Vitaath the Shivering Death unlocks Hell Difficulty II
  • Felling Gorgothra the Claimer unlocks Hell Difficulty III
  • Felling Beledwe and Gishtur unlocks Hell Difficulty IV
  • Felling Izilech the Misshapen unlocks Hell Difficulty V

A hellish quintet of terror has run amuck in Sanctuary—meet your new lieutenants of Hell:

Ophinneb the Skin-Veiled: Ophinneb is alone among the Voidwound demons in her fascination with humanity. She wears and sheds lives like clothing–but to what end? Upon her arrival in Sanctuary, she laired in a long-forgotten fortress; over the years it accumulated decoration, and opulence. Does she aspire to be something else, or is she merely a hunter hiding in human skin?

Felling Ophinneb alone or with a party unlocks Hell Difficulty VI.

Catarag the Strangling Sun: Catarag’s crowning in the Black Abyss left behind a burning shadow that swallows up light. When it rose on Sanctuary as a smear on the sun, a circle of Sharval witches barely confined the demon at the cost of their lives. Centuries later, it seeks to bring about a shadowed age where the void of its birth can consume sun and moon, Heaven and Hell.

Dymdrail, Crawling Woe: Dymdrail’s insatiability left it an easy mark for imprisonment by the Circle of Untamable Wilds–a performance of slow drowning was all it took to coax the demon from its lair. Yet Dymdrail contains multitudes within its folds of shadow, and with each soul it devours, it grows further legion.

Apothrus, Tamer of the Fallen: The claimant of Rattlebreath Hall traps and torments phantoms as they escape their bodies, leaving maddened haunts behind. No number of anguished dead can calm Apothrus’s fury at his imprisonment—his sole memory of humiliation in a primordial existence. While other Voidwound seek revelry or power, he remains focused on eternal vengeance.

Felling Apothrus alone or with a party unlocks Hell Difficulty VII.

Phangwrth, Warmth-Feaster: Phangwrth has lived a frigid existence since it crawled in shadowed form out of the Abyss. Any warmth it feels has been carved from the steaming entrails of its kills; centuries imprisoned have worsened its cravings. Freed to walk Sanctuary, it gnaws at frost and bone, inexorable as winter wind, and will soon turn to a feast of millions.

Felling Phangwrth alone or with a party unlocks Hell Difficulty VIII.

Five New Legendary Gems

Legendary Gems are an integral part of a character’s build. To equip players with additional options, we have added five new Legendary Gems to Diablo Immortal. For three weeks after release, players will have the option to enable a modified drop table for their Legendary Crests when running Elder Rifts. With the modified drop table enabled, any time a five-star gem drops, it has a 25% chance to be the new Concentrated Will Legendary Gem or a 25% chance to be the Hellfire Fragment Legendary Gem.

We have seen players come up with some rather unique builds using previously released Legendary gems and cannot wait to see what the community cooks up with this batch. The below values for each gem reflect their Rank-10 values:

Heartstone (One-Star Gem): The duration of your absorb shields are increased by 36% and they also reduce the duration of Loss of Control effects by 24% while active.

Kir Sling (Two-Star Gem): You have a 15% chance when attacked to release a burst of light that Blinds all nearby enemies, reducing their vision and causing total Loss of Control for four seconds. Cannot occur more often than once every 20 seconds. You also deal 14% increased damage to Blinded enemies.

Volatility Shard (Two-Star Gem): When you defeat an enemy you trigger a volatile explosion dealing 90% base damage + 365 to all nearby enemies while granting yourself 8% increased damage for two seconds. Cannot occur more often than once every six seconds.

Concentrated Will (Five-Star Gem): Using a Dash skill calls a guardian angel to your aid, unleashing a blast of holy light in your direction dealing 135% base damage + 547 to all enemies in the path. When the guardian angel returns to the High Heavens, it blesses you, increasing your damage and Movement Speed by 16% for two seconds. Cannot occur more often than once every six seconds.

Hellfire Fragment (Five-Star Gem): Using a skill conjures three hellfire blazes around you to seek out enemies within six yards, exploding on them dealing 108% base damage + 510 to all nearby enemies. Enemies struck by multiple hellfire blazes take 50% additional damage from subsequent hits. Cannot occur more often than once every 20 seconds.

Westmarch Barber

In need of a trim? Pay a visit to Yaira the Barber, located in Westmarch near Charsi’s Smithy. At Yaira’s shop he’ll employ the finest cosmetology techniques in all of Sanctuary to re-customize your character’s face, hair, and skin tone. Plus, a fourth face option has been added for each class. Players can receive a complimentary re-customization from Yaira every seven days—there are no options to pay to reduce this cooldown.

Recruit a Friend

Hell’s servants number many and will stop at nothing to see Sanctuary crumble in their maw. You must rally allies under your banner if you wish to turn the tide in humanity’s favor, for friends who slay together forge unbreakable bonds.

From December 14, 3:00 a.m.–January 11, 3:00 a.m. server time, revel in the Brumaltine spirit with new friends at your heels by using the Recruit a Friend feature.

To recruit players, you must be at least level 20. Each player has a unique code that can be found on the Recruit a Friend event page. To be recruited by another player, you must be playing on a new character created on December 14 or after, be under level 20, and have completed the introduction to Diablo Immortal.

If you want to recruit a player who meets the requirements, share your code with them via the event page, and if they redeem your code, they are officially recruited. You may recruit a total of three players using this method. Both the recruiter and recruit will receive various awards as the recruit levels up and completes tasks around Sanctuary.

  • Rewards for recruiters:
    • Share your code once: Two Enchanted Dust, 30 Scrap, and 5K Gold.
    • One friend redeems your code: Six Rare Crests and six Normal Gems.
    • One friend reaches level 60: One Legendary Crest, three Rare Crests, and six Normal Gems.
    • Two friends reach level 60: One Legendary Crest, three Rare Crests, and six Normal Gems.
    • Three friends reach level 60: Grim Fellowship Portrait Frame, two Legendary Crests, and nine Rare Crests.
  • Rewards for new recruits:
    • Reach level 10: 10K Gold.
    • Reach level 30: One random Legendary item from your class.
    • Reach level 50: One random Legendary item from your class.
    • Reach level 60: Six Rare Crests.
    • Complete an Elder Rift while in a party: Two Enchanted Dust, 30 Scrap, and 5K Gold.
    • Complete a dungeon while in a party: Two Enchanted Dust, 30 Scrap, and 5K Gold.
    • Complete a Challenge Rift while in a party: Two Enchanted Dust, 30 Scrap, and 5K Gold.

Season Eight Battle Pass

“There is life and warmth in the burning sun above—and greater power still to be found in its shadow.”
-Westmarch Scholar

The Hidden Sun, a new Battle Pass devoted to powerful cosmic mystery, has eclipsed into Diablo Immortal, and with it, the Season Eight Battle Pass on December 22, at 3:00 a.m. server time. This Battle Pass hosts 40 ranks worth of challenges and rewards, such as Legendary Gems, Crests, Hilts, and more.

The Season Eight Battle Pass only runs until January 19, at 2:59 a.m. server time—begin slaying demons and climbing your way through the ranks today!

Hungering Moon: Back for Seconds

Feeling underfed, the moon has doubled its demands, providing you with an upcoming opportunity to sate its seemingly endless appetite for blood!

The moonlit path you’ll take to heed your lunar overlord’s increased howl for sustenance is ready to be traversed. Players can complete up to three tasks a day starting December 29, 3:00 a.m.–January 2, 3:00 a.m. server time.

Sacred Wilds Phantom Market

Phantom Market, Diablo Immortal’s version of the Lucky Draw mechanic, is an additional way for players to acquire new Cosmetic Sets, Weapon Cosmetics, Emoji, and more. Using Obols, a new currency exclusive to Phantom Market, players will purchase the ability to draw one item at random from the available item pool. There are ten items total, and each can only be acquired once. Each time you draw an item, the cost of the next draw will increase. Performing 10 draws guarantees that you will receive all items available in the Phantom Market, including the Sacred Wilds Cosmetic Set. This is our first Cross-Class Cosmetic Set, which once acquired, can be used for all of Diablo Immortal’s Classes—this cosmetic also boasts a unique Cosmetic Emoji, tailored visual effects when you rack up a killstreak against Hell’s minions, and ethereal flourishes while moving and standing still.

Obols can be purchased with Eternal Orbs, and any unspent Obols will be converted into Platinum once the Phantom Market event ends on January 11 at 2:59 a.m. server time. All players will receive enough Obols for a free first draw—these are automatically added to your account.

Because items from the Phantom Market are acquired randomly per draw, we want to provide players with the initial draw rates for each item to aid in deciding if they would like to engage with the event past their first free draw. Do note, the drop rates provided below are for the first draw only and will adjust to reflect the relative probabilities of the remaining items in the Phantom Market item pool.

  • Contempt Emoji: 30.00%
  • Despair Emoji: 30.00%
  • Battleground Brawl Amethyst Armor Cosmetic: 8.13%
  • Battleground Brawl Amethyst Weapon Cosmetic: 8.13%
  • Battleground Brawl Lapis Armor Cosmetic: 8.13%
  • Battleground Brawl Lapis Weapon Cosmetic: 8.13%
  • Winged Darkness Azure Armor Cosmetic: 2.57%
  • Winged Darkness Azure Weapon Cosmetic: 2.57%
  • Sacred Wilds Portal Cosmetic: 2.20%
  • Sacred Wilds Cosmetic Set: 0.14%

EVE Online – Factional Warfare Battlefields

Beyond Uprising: More new EVE content!

Content sourced from eveonline.com

Eager Capsuleers,

The newest narrative-driven expansion, Uprising, introduced new ships to command, the ability to proudly fly your colors with corporation and alliance emblems, a clear path to the warzone, immersive new Upwell hangars, and a series of Factional Warfare changes that usher in the future of war in New Eden. Just a week later, the Uprising continues with the latest update live today, which brings even more fresh content and refinements to EVE.

As of today, you and your fellow pilots now have access to the thrilling world of Factional Warfare battlefields, offering even more Uprising content to sink your teeth into. These new battlefields give pilots yet another way to embrace a distinct blend of action-packed combat.

HOW IT WORKS

The Factional Warfare battlefields let two teams battle it out over specified areas and will spawn across the cluster, with new openings appearing in The Agency and via the Factional Warfare interface. Use an Acceleration Gate to journey to the selected area, and you can join your wingmen to fight to control areas, defend bases, and battle for score through a ‘tug-of-war’ point-stealing mechanic.

Battlefields in Factional Warfare promise to bring EVE Online some of its most dynamic, energetic combat yet to be seen. And when one battlefield closes another spawns elsewhere, meaning there will always be more action to chase down.

EVEN MORE IN UPRISING

Aside from that, there are a series of other updates and refinements as part of the Uprising expansion you can read more about in today’s Patch Notes. You can be sure there’s more to come, as New Eden’s future is an exciting place with plenty in store.

For those who want a peek behind the curtain into all the love that went into Uprising, check out these development interviews:

Albion Online – Beyond the Veil

Albion’s Latest Content Update is Released on Nov 21st 2022

According to the newsletter I received from albiononline.com (which I’ve totally ripped to here!), this huge update expands the realms of Albion, introducing a new region called the Mists, a new city, new mobs, and new Artifact Armor. Additionally, the Roads of Avalon are significantly reworked, making them more competitive for smaller guilds while still offering large-group content. And a new resource enchantment – Pristine – brings extremely rare and valuable treasures for high-level players. With all this and more, Beyond the Veil expands Albion’s possibilities for every player type.

Lift the Veil

A strange and magical realm known as the Mists is dedicated exclusively to solo and duo players, offering a range of PvP and PvE in unpredictable zones. The Mists also contain a new City – Brecilien – with no fixed location, offering access to the Mists and the Roads of Avalon along with its own crafting bonuses. The Mists are also home to fantastical creatures, which drop never-before-seen artifacts that can be crafted into Fey Armor, with nine items featuring all-new spells.

Roads Revisited

The Roads of Avalon have received a significant rework, becoming more accessible for smaller and independent guilds. Such groups will find it easier to make their home in the Roads, while larger guilds will have to work harder to dominate regions. Certain areas of the Roads offer greater riches than ever before, ensuring they remain attractive to those groups. Back in Albion’s open world, a new enchantment level of resource is spawning in the Outlands: Pristine. Extremely rare and valuable, and shielded at first, these resources offer a high-level goal for powerful groups to contest. They can also be created through transmutation, offering high-level crafting possibilities and bringing new dimensions to combat.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Albion’s guilds will find their UIs significantly improved, with an updated Guild Crest Creator, a new Guild Description UI making it easier to reach potential recruits, and Guild Loadouts easily equippable from the Marketplace and chests. The character selection screen has been revamped, mobile players have improved spell targeting and casting, and the Destiny Board better explains Auto-learn and Auto-respec.

Lock in the Best Price on Premium

The prices for Premium and Gold will increase on November 28, so now is the best time to lock in the current price. Check out this forum post for more information about the increase, and this guide  for the easiest way to switch from various platforms. And remember, you’ll always get the best overall prices on Gold, Premium, and Vanity from our Albion Online Web Shop and the ingame Store on the native client, so check it out today!

Go Beyond

Beyond the Veil expands and enriches Albion’s possibilities for players of all types and groups of all sizes. For full details, check out the official update page: https://albiononline.com/update/beyond-the-veil

Hallow’s Wake Limited-Time Event

“Crawling out their graves,
Who knows if they’ll misbehave.
These hellacious haunts like to flaunt,
Their handiwork leaving Sanctuary gaunt.

For 666 years they have reanimated in celebration,
Hang around and you’ll see they live up to reputation.
Don’t be fooled by their late-night revels,
These sinister spookies are worse than devils.”

-Popular Khanduras Tavern Tune

Can you feel it, adventurer? THEY’RE ALIVE!!

From October 19, 3:00 a.m.–November 2, 2:59 a.m. server time the boundary separating the living and dead grows paper thin. For a short while, two realms fuse into one for Hallow’s Wake, where dastardly demons and specters run amok in mischievous harmony.

During this spectacle of spirits, players level 20 and above will be tasked with eliminating ghastly goblins, vengeful dead, and cleansing haunted rifts in exchange for Hallowed Stones. These stones can be traded for spooky rewards, such as the Strawman Sack Mask, Ghosted Emote, and Hallowed Choker Portrait Frame. They can also be used to Trick or Treat with the mysterious Crone or a friend of your choice. Will you bestow a treat upon your friends, or hex them with a devious trick?

Your quest to serve the downtrodden grows in complexity—equip yourself with Infernal Knowledge to prevail.

Live out your ghoulish fantasy with the Hallowed Dead Standard Cosmetic Set. Each class has been possessed by a unique fiend—head to the Hallow’s Wake event shop from October 19, 3:00 a.m.–November 2, 2:59 a.m. server time to check them all out and grab yours for 1,000 Eternal Orbs.

Waltz Macabre Cosmetic Set

Coming into close confines with death has become commonplace for many of Sanctuary’s denizens. So much so that the macabre is an extension of personhood. For Westmarch’s most rarefied courtiers, it manifests in the form of fashion—the translation of death into a wearable statement piece.

Embrace the grisly machinations of your mind, then wear them on your sleeve with the Waltz Macabre Standard Cosmetic Set, purchasable from the in-game shop for 1,000 Eternal Orbs beginning on October 12 at 3:00 a.m. server time.

Feature Updates

Legendary Crest Aesthetic Update

  • The aesthetic of Legendary Crests has been changed to create more distinction between itself and Eternal Legendary Crests. The Elder Rift menu has also been updated so players can easily select between all three crest types and clearly see descriptions for each.

New Resource: Telluric Pearls

  • Telluric Pearls are a new resource that can be used to craft Five-Star Legendary Gems. There are currently three ways a player can receive Telluric Pearls:
    • By trading Hilts with Lieutenant Fizriah, the Hilt Vendor in Westmarch.
    • Through participating in limited-time events.
    • From purchasing specific in-game shop bundles, such as Seeker’s Supplies and Rift-Runner’s Supplies. The Seeker’s Supplies bundle will now refresh in the shop every Monday and Thursday instead of every three days.

Defend the Vault Queue

  • Immortals can now join a queue to Defend the Vault. Players will need to assemble a party of four Immortals and head to the Vault in the Hall of Ascension. There, they can enter the queue to defend against a Shadow Raid. While waiting in the queue, players may adventure through Sanctuary freely. Once it is your party’s turn, you’ll be prompted, and if you confirm, you’ll immediately be sent to defend the vault. As parties in the queue are invited to defend the vault, your party will receive updates on your place in line. Immortal teams can re-enter the queue as soon as they finish a defense.

Developer’s Note: Our goal with the implementation of this queue system is to eliminate the need for you to sit at the door to the Vault rapidly clicking to enter or creating a makeshift line with other players. Instead, we wanted players to queue up in an organized system while being able to engage in other activities across Sanctuary as they wait.

Shadows Notifications Tracker

  • Players will no longer receive notifications for the Assembly after they have completed it for that day.
  • The Shadow Lottery notification can now be turned off. Visit the Notifications tab within the Settings menu to do so.

Dark Clan Leader Substitution

  • Dark Clan Leaders may now assign up to two substitute leaders from within their Clan through the Shadow War menu.

Well, what will it be, Trick or Treat?

Diablo Immortal – LoxTech Legends Clan to Merge

LoxTech Legends to Merge with DevilMayCry

This post has been written mainly for the members of the LoxTech Legends clan, on Diablo Immortal.

Announcement

It is with deep sadness and regret that LoxTech Legends will be closing its doors on Wednesday 12th October 2022. However, I (Loxidae), along with anyone who wishes to follow me, will be merging with another awesome clan, DevilMayCry. This choice has been incredibly difficult to make, but I know it is right for all concerned. A beefed-up DMC, with ex-Legends, will truely be a force to wipe the smiles off those arrogant Immortal wannabes! More info about the process in the What Happens Next? section.

The End of LoxTech Legends (Or is it?)

LoxTech Legends is an established and highly-regarded clan on the Diamond Gates server, and has been in existence since the game’s launch. It has seen hundreds of decent & dedicated players pass through its ranks, and been real competition as a Dark Clan. We have been in the Top 10 of the Dark Clan leader board for nearly two months, made it into the Top 10 weekly Shadow clans several times. We’ve also actively been in the Rite of Exile twice.

However much I have tried to take us all the way to becomming Immortals, I could never quite get there. This has been disheartening and I feel that I have failed my members in not being able to achieve this goal. So, even though we will no longer be LoxTech Legends, I feel there is still a way I can push my members forward.

I have had such an amazing time with all the members of our clan, and it is really sad for me to be saying goodbye to it. I wanted to give up Diablo Immortal, way back in July, but it was all of you guys that kept me going. I won’t be quitting it entirely. I will be taking an Officer role within DMC, but I will likely not be as active as I was. I do plan to run a new Leaderboard for Legends and DMC members combined, starting in around November time.

I wish to say thank you to all the members of LoxTech Legends, and especially those who have been so loyal and stuck with me during our weaker times! I hope many of you will come over to DevilMayCry, so we can continue our journey to Immortals, together! I love you all.

What Happens Next?

Monday 10th Oct: LoxTech Legends members will collect and donate Akeba’s Signets as usual. Once we are a Dark Clan, members who leave will already be Shadows and able to join another Dark Clan.

Tuesday 11th Oct: I will gather everyone’s latest stats and finish Season 3 of the Leaderboard. Prizes will be issued to the winners.

Wednesday 12th Oct: LoxTech Legends will be emptied of all members, for transfer over to DevilMayCry, and then closed permanently.

Thursday 13th Oct: Myself, and anyone who came across, will be able to participate in our first Shadow War as DMC members! 🙂

Discord

LoxTech Legends is one of many clans, falling under the LoxTech Gaming Community. The LGC Discord server will remain, but it is not expected for members to remain there, unless they wish to retain contact. DevilMayCry have their own Discord server and you can visit this by clicking this link.

May the battle continue…

New Dungeon: Silent Monastery

Foreboding black mist originating from the Silent Monastery, an ancient Sahptev temple, is rolling off the peaks of Mount Zavain and creeping into Sentinel’s Watch—threatening to encase the entire zone in incomprehensible darkness. In this new dungeon, players who are level 60 and above can group up in parties of two to four to relive the history of the Zakarum crusades through the lands of Ivgorod.

The inside of the Silent Monastery is home to eternal night, making it nearly impossible to navigate. Fortunately, some of the temple’s statues can be illuminated. Make haste in lighting these statues, they are the only thing that can weaken the nightmarish demons lurking in the shadows! As you light additional statues and rid the dungeon of monsters, the darkness will be cast out of that area for good.

Once you’ve flooded the temple with light, there is but one direction to head: into the obsidian heart of the Silent Monastery. Going toe-to-toe with the Ancient Nightmare in its lair will be no easy task. If you can survive an unrelenting flurry of empowered shadow blasts and ghastly spike attacks, a lion’s share of rewards shall be granted to commemorate your feat.

Castle Cyrangar

In the outskirts of Westmarch lies an ancient fortress rife with unspeakable horrors to extinguish, mysterious secrets to uncover, and if you’re successful, a new place for your Warband to call home: Castle Cyrangar. This Warband exploration experience will replace Warband Camps and introduce two replayable game modes along with passive bonuses that can be upgraded as you secure and defend your castle.

Before moving further into the specifics of Castle Cyrangar, we want to introduce large-scale improvements to how Warbands will function. A big part of this patch features new game modes, unique rewards, and more progression systems focused on Warbands. Additionally, we want to remove all the major pain points players have expressed about Warbands while simultaneously providing better rewards for players who choose to take part.

  • The requirement to slay monsters with your Warband to establish the camp has been removed.
  • We have lowered the threshold for Warband Helliquary Raids from eight to four people. If there are at least four members in the Raid from the same Warband, the Raid can be filled by anyone else. Completing the Raid this way will still yield extra Warband rewards for the Warband members.
  • Successfully completing a Warband Helliquary Raid for the first time will now grant Warband members an additional 400% drop rate increase for Sealed Warband Chests. This bonus resets every seven days.

To begin the quest to bring Castle Cyrangar under your Warband’s banner, you must be at least level 20, be part of a Warband, and speak to Valstus in Westmarch’s Rakkis Plaza. Castle Cyrangar contains three main areas of emphasis for players to engage with: Purging the Depths, Warband Rooms, and Defense of Cyrangar.

Purge the Depths of Castle Cyrangar

Upon arriving at Castle Cyrangar, your Warband will realize that there are still some unwanted occupants taking up residence in the castle’s bowels—you must purge them from your new home!

As you crush, incinerate, and eviscerate your way through rooms of undead threats, you’ll come across restless spirits that are bound to rot here for all eternity. It’s up to you to set them free by first defeating them—severing the connection with their tormented vessel, then cleansing their Remnants. Each of the Remnants provides unique bonuses that are applied to your character.

You can traverse the randomized dark underbelly of Castle Cyrangar alone or with up to seven other Warband members as many times as desired.

Once you’ve cleared your castle of unwanted guests, additional rooms will become available for you and your Warband members to occupy. Each room has its own variety of unique bonuses that it provides to the occupant. Who occupies which room is up to your Warband Leader—they can assign and unassign players at will. A player is still able to unassign themselves from a Warband Room at any time. Players will receive the benefits of their room for as long as they occupy it, but cannot occupy more than one room at a time.

Warband Rooms can be upgraded by placing Remnants received from Purging the Depths of Castle Cyrangar. Doing so will provide that respective room with additional bonuses.

Defense of Cyrangar

Now that your Warband has renovated Castle Cyrangar and settled in, word has gotten back to the armies of the Burning Hells, who want the stronghold for themselves. They’re coming in full force, so you’ll need to work in unison with your Warband to hold back the infernal tide of demonic destruction headed straight for your castle’s front gate. Defense of Cyrangar offers two modes:

  • Standard Mode can be played once a week. In this mode, players must withstand eight waves of blood-thirsty demons. If your Warband successfully staves off the Hellspawn, you’ll receive rewards and experience for holding the line firm.
  • Endless mode can be played at any time. In this mode, Warbands will receive a score based on how many heavy-hitting waves of demons they can survive. This mode has an accompanying leaderboard, so you can see how your Warband stacks up to others. Additionally, the top Warbands will receive the Cyrangar Defense Portrait Frame for their tenacity.

Ancestral Weapons

Purging the Depths of Castle Cyrangar and defending it from an assault yield valuable rewards. While participating in these game modes, you’ll have a chance to find Ancestral Weapons. To harness the power of these weapons, place them into your Ancestral Tableau, located in the heart of Castle Cyrangar. Once placed, Ancestral Weapons will confer a portion of their Attributes, such as Strength, Intelligence, and Vitality onto all members of your Warband. Each Warband member can only place one Ancestral Weapon in the Tableau, so work together with your fellow Warband members to assemble the best Ancestral Weapons you can find to power up all Warband members. The action of placing items into your Ancestral Tableau and providing a portion of their attributes to all members of your Warband does not require anyone else but yourself to be online.

In addition to the bonus Attributes, you can also call upon special powers from the Warband’s Ancestral Weapons while donning Invocation Gear. While participating in Castle Cyrangar activities, gear that drops has a chance to possess an additional Invocation property. Invocation Gear can be equipped to your character in its respective item slot to receive the benefit and trigger the ability of your Ancestral Weapon. Mix and match your Invocation gear with the Ancestral Weapon of your choice to further customize your build.

For example, your Ancestral Weapon might provide the property:

Deal Lightning damage to surrounding enemies.

When combined with an Invocation such as:

Chance to trigger your Ancestral Property when you deal damage.

It results in the combined ability:

Chance to deal lightning damage to surrounding enemies when you deal damage.

Season Five Battle Pass: Scions of the Storm

“Children born during a storm carry its fierceness in their voices and its chaos in their hearts.”
-Westmarch Sailor

Sanctuary’s denizens believe that the sheer power of a squall can not be controlled—only nature can truly govern itself. But you are born of the elements, adventurer! And thus, the winds have shifted in your favor, sharing your desire to rid Sanctuary of its invaders and restore balance. It is time to surrender yourself to the chaos, time to take your place among the Scions of the Storm.

A new Battle Pass devoted to the Storm has surged into Diablo Immortal, and with it, Season Five begins on September 29, at 3:00 a.m. server time. The Scions of the Storm Battle Pass hosts 40 ranks worth of challenges and rewards, such as Legendary Gems, Crests, Hilts, and more.

For adventurers seeking additional treasures from their Battle Pass ranks, we have two paid versions they can upgrade their Battle Pass to for the full duration of the season: the Empowered Battle Pass, and Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass.

The Empowered Battle Pass includes all rank rewards from the free standard Battle Pass but also unlocks an Empowered track that provides additional rewards at each rank. Plus, you’ll receive the Scions of the Storm Weapon cosmetic, unlocked at rank one, and the turbulent Scions of the Storm Armor cosmetic, unlocked at rank 40.

The Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass gives you access to all rank rewards and cosmetics from the Empowered Battle Pass plus, the Scions of the Storm Avatar Frame, Portal cosmetic, and a ten-rank boost, all provided immediately after upgrading.

The Season Five Battle Pass only runs until October 27, at 2:59 a.m. server time—begin slaying demons and climbing your way through the ranks today!

New Helliquary Raid Boss: Izilech the Misshapen

Rayek has located the most wicked Wrathborne demon to date, Izilech the Misshapen! Leader of the Wrathborne demons, his cruelty knows no bounds, and is revered by lesser demons who cower under his tyrannical rule. Izilech earned his moniker by defying the Lord of Terror days before the Dark Exile—his body lay twisted and broken, a result of Diablo’s wrath, but Izilech’s will endured. He’s now the Misshapen, a tortured soul bound to the cursed form forced upon him.

Journal entries recounting the Misshapen’s martial prowess make note of his massive bow, pinpoint accuracy, and penchant for flaming arrows. For those fearless enough to close the gap, you’ll be met by massive hooves designed to flatten even the sturdiest adventurers. Records also mention a bone prison—unfortunately, there seems to be no explanation of what happens to those who linger in it for too long.

If your Combat Rating is at least 6175, assemble your group of hardened adventurers and convene with Rayek in front of the Einfrinn Tree in Westmarch beginning on October 2 at 3:00 a.m. server time to confront the Misshapen. Should you be skilled enough to close the book on the Misshapen’s legend, you’ll receive his remains, the Wrathborne Crown, as a reward. Equipping this item to the top slot of the Helliquary will provide you with an additional 30 combat rating, and a 10% movement speed boost while inside Challenge Rifts.

Scouring the Darkness Limited-Time Event

The mist surrounding the Silent Monastery and Castle Cyrangar might have faded, but now you find yourself lost, Scouring the Darkness for a path forward. Twisted beings promising curses for the weak and power for the worthy tempt you to push further—who knows if insanity or glory is waiting to greet you at the end of this trek?

Band together with your Warband or slay your way to safety alone as you complete tasks and earn a variety of rewards, including the Congratulations Emote, for your quick-witted bravery. Beat back the shadows from September 28, 3:00 a.m.–October 19, 3:00 a.m. server time.

Hungering Moon: Back for Seconds

Despite your best efforts to sate the moon’s hunger…it confoundingly demands more blood! This time around, the moonlit path you’ll take to heed your lunar overlord’s howl for sustenance has been shaken up. Players can complete up to three tasks a day starting October 6, 3:00 a.m.–October 10, 3:00 a.m. server time. Through completing tasks, you’ll gain Astrolabe Power—the power can be used to draw one of two types of blessings with unique benefits from the Astrolabe.

Drawing a Blessing of Magic will give you a bonus to Magic Find, handy for increasing your chances of receiving Rare, Magic, or Legendary items from monsters as a drop. Drawing a Blessing of Might invites you to complete any dungeon in exchange for Moonslivers, and if you complete the dungeon with a party, twice the amount of Moonslivers shall be bestowed upon you. The moon is a generous entity, so you may have one of each Blessing active at a time.

Once you’ve racked up a handful of Moonslivers by purging demonic hordes from dungeons, visit the Hermit’s Collection located within the Hungering Moon event page to trade your Moonslivers for lunar-laced rewards of your choice!

Can you satisfy the moon’s hunger before the long night wanes?

Crowned Ones Cosmetic Set

It is seldom enough to act like royalty in the courts of Sanctuary, you must also look the part. Adorn yourself with the same gilded luxury flaunted by generations of Khanduran nobility—the Crowned Ones Standard Cosmetic Set can be purchased from the in-game shop for 1,000 Eternal Orbs.

Feature Updates

New Legendary Gems

Three new Legendary Gems have been added! For three weeks after release, players will have the option to enable a modified drop table for their Legendary Crests when running Elder Rifts. With the modified drop table enabled, any time a five-star gem drops, it has a 50% chance to be the new Frozen Heart Five Star Gem.

  • Blessed Pebble (One Star Gem): Increases the duration of beneficial effects on you by 12% and increases your Movement Speed by 8% for three seconds after gaining a beneficial effect.
  • The Abiding Curse (Two Star Gem): Your attacks have a 15% chance to curse enemies, reducing their Attack and Movement speeds by 35% for eight seconds. Cursed enemies also take 10% increased damage from your attacks. Cannot curse the same target more than once every 20 seconds.
  • Frozen Heart (Five Star Gem): When you take damage, activate a Frigid Shield for six seconds that Chills enemy attackers and absorbs damage equal to 360% of your base damage plus 1,458. Frigid Shield also grants your attacks a 60% chance to Chill enemies. Cannot gain Frigid Shield more than once every 20 seconds.

Developer’s Note: Legendary Gems are a core part of any player’s character, and we want to continually provide more options over time that enable players to choose how they modify their builds. These new Legendary Gems have a lot of general applications, and we cannot wait to see how players integrate them into their builds.

New Set Items: Gloomguide’s Prize

Set items provide powerful synergies with certain builds and represent a large part of endgame character build optimization. Our newest set, Gloomguide’s Prize, is centered around using Dash skills to amplify your damage while terrifying enemies in the process. To accommodate the addition of Silent Monastery and provide players with more variety in their hunt for specific sets, we have shuffled the drop locations of all our sets.

  • Gloomguide’s Prize (2-Piece Bonus): Increases your damage done by 15% for three seconds after using a Dash skill.
  • Gloomguide’s Prize (4-Piece Bonus): Increases your Critical Hit Chance by 22.5% for three seconds after using a Dash skill.
  • Gloomguide’s Prize (6-Piece Bonus): Unleashes a wave of terror when your Dash skill ends, dealing X damage and causing nearby enemies to flee in Fear for three seconds. The wave of terror will only trigger when enemies are nearby but cannot occur more often than every 40 seconds.

Legendary and Rare Crest Improvements

Players can now:

  • Trade 1,600 platinum for one Legendary Crest. This can be done once a week.
  • Trade 200 Platinum for a Rare Crest. This can be done up to three times a week.

To do so, see Jondo Mouren, the Crest Merchant, located in the Westmarch Palace Courtyard.

Developer’s Note: We want to provide players with additional ways to use platinum, while also providing more ways for players to earn Legendary Crests in game. For Rare Crests, we received feedback that players do not always have a worthwhile use for small amounts of Eternal Orbs. This change provides players an outlet to spend smalls amounts of leftover Eternal Orbs on, as one Eternal Orb can be traded for 10 Platinum.

Warband Chest Legendary Items

Legendary items acquired from Warband Chests can now have their essence transferred.

Immortal Reign: Defend the Vault Improvements

We are improving the Immortal’s Defend the Vault experience by using a queueing system like how Shadows Raid the Vault. Players will now also be able to use the Find Party feature to be matched into four-player groups.

Corvus Expedition Variants

The Corvus Expedition Immortal activities are gaining variants that can potentially activate during a run. This includes surprise challenges and twists on activities that are enhanced with additional rewards.

Developer’s Note: Evolving the Corvus Expedition so each run feels unique is our goal for this feature. We not only want players to go on runs often but to feel a sense of challenge and variety as they do. This is the first of multiple improvements coming for Ruins of Corvus.

Hero’s Journey Additional Chapters

Your path to greatness continues to unfold with two additional chapters—see what lies in wait on the Hero’s Journey! Carve your way through tasks featuring some of Diablo Immortal’s newest additions while earning handy rewards and the Glorious Journey Portal Cosmetic.

New Bestiary Entries

We’re adding over 20 new entries to the Horadric Bestiary to make gathering Monstrous Essence more rewarding and depict some of the familiar and new monsters that have emerged in Sanctuary. To see them, just keep conquering your enemies and unlocking pages.

Wynton’s Grand Market Adjustments

  • The timeframe in which players can buy any items you have up for sale has been reduced from 12 hours to three hours.
  • The timeframe in which players can resell items they recently purchased has been reduced from seven to two days.

Eternal Orbs Bundle Update

  • The 315 Eternal Orbs bundle for USD $4.99 has been changed to 320 Eternal Orbs for USD $4.99.
  • The 630 Eternal Orbs bundle for USD $9.99 has been changed to 650 Eternal Orbs for USD $9.99.

Developer’s Note: We made this change to the above Eternal Orb bundles based on player feedback that the 315 eternal Orbs bundle was short of being enough to purchase two Legendary Crests. Additionally, the 630 Eternal Orbs bundle was short of being enough to purchase four Legendary Crests.

War Robots – 8.4 Update Notes (12th Sept ’22)

EVENT: PIRATES OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM

The event will start soon after 8.4 lands on your platform. The event task chain will be available in the Operations interface.

Captain Clyde will join you aboard your ship and introduce you to the lifestyle and tactics of space rogues thriving on the Mars-Earth route.

Snatch your share of plunder by unlocking event chests and completing operations throughout the event:

  • New robot: Mars
  • New weapon: Fainter
  • New mothership: Frozen Scorn

WR on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/walkingwarrobots
WR in Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/warrobots

NEW ROBOT: MARS

Mars is the first robot that comes fitted with a detachable turret. While seated on the robot’s hull, the turret serves as an additional gun, automatically firing at the enemies within aiming range. When deployed on the ground, the turret becomes autonomous. It will fire at the closest available target and will only focus on your target if you press the ability button again while keeping an enemy robot within your aiming reticle.

Mars doesn’t excel at close-range brawls, but can deal devastating damage with clever use of cover. Mid-range weapons are recommended for Mars.

NEW WEAPON: FAINTER

This mid-range energy machine gun deals huge amounts of damage in one burst when fully charged and sustains moderate damage at low charge thanks to continuous reload. Fainter accumulates Lock-down effect on the target, rooting it in place after a certain number of hits.

NEW PILOTS: CAPTAIN CLYDE, KATE O’DONNEL

Captain Clyde: Mars turret fires at an increased rate and deals increased damage.

As a leader of a boarding squad, Clyde survived many pitched battles on board corporation ships. Fortune is a fickle friend though. Clyde lost everything in one of those fights and ended up in DSC prison. He escaped just recently and is now looking for revenge. Beware the sails of Griffin’s Fury! She’s on the hunt.

Kate O’Donnel: Weapons deal increased damage against targets affected by Lock-down. Damage buff is restricted to lock-down weapons only.

The adopted daughter of Captain Clyde, Kate commands her own squad now. She makes sure that no valuable tech escapes the battlefield one way or another and makes corporate merchants regret cutting back on convoy expenses.

NEW MOTHERSHIP: FROZEN SCORN

The ship drops a thermal bomb on the enemy position. All affected targets will move slower and keep receiving damage over time as long as they remain in the area of effect. Frozen Scorn comes equipped with 2 protection and 1 support turret slots.

CHANGES TO LEAGUE SYSTEM

These changes will go live later during 8.4. We will announce them separately in all our social media.

With this update we introduce league drop limits. After entering a new league, you won’t fall below a certain rating threshold, no matter how many battles you lose. Champion accounts, for example, will never end up anywhere below the Expert league. Masters will be locked above the Diamond league, and so on. See the table below for exact rating values.

Our main goal here is to prevent players from dropping their league rating on purpose and protect new arrivals from veterans looking for easy prey. We will continue addressing reports of purposeful inactivity in combat even after these changes take place.

We are also removing qualifications from the league system. When a new season begins, your account will be placed at exactly the same rating as at the end of the previous season. No need for the extra five trial matches. The mechanics of the Champion league, however, remain unchanged. All accounts in that league get their rating reset to 5,000 at the end of each season.

NEW SHENZHEN

The Shenzhen map receives an overhaul. We’ve reworked building models, textures, and overall lighting to update it to Remastered standards. The geometry of the map has also received some tweaks to accommodate for the arrival of Titans, as Shenzhen was a part of the game before Titans were introduced.

At the same time, we’re saying goodbye to the night version of older Shenzhen. Revamping it would take just as much time and we’d rather focus on our next rework. More news on that to follow in future updates.

POSTCOMBAT SCREEN UPDATE

You can now view mini-profiles of players from other platforms by tapping on them in the battle score screen. The mini-profile will show nickname, ID, and league. The option to report the player will also be available on that screen.

BUGS FIXED

  • Fixed certain status effect icons displaying incorrectly.

EVE Online – New “Uprising” Expansion Coming Soon!

Awesome New Details Taken Directly From EVEONLINE.COM

Battle-ready capsuleers,

The universe never stands still, and EVE Online’s first narrative arc has already been building tension between the empires. Now, the stage is set to bring about an intense, thrilling future in New Eden. The time to choose your battle, fly your colors, and reap the greatest rewards that victory and loyalty can offer draws near!

Uprising is a brand-new narrative-driven expansion for EVE Online launching in November, ushering in major improvements to Factional Warfare (FW), introducing a suite of new ships in addition to a plethora of balance changes to existing ships, corporation and alliance logos on your vessels as part of the introduction to heraldry, new visually immersive hangars, and more.

To see the original eveonline.com information release, click here.

The first narrative arc has already begun with the discovery of an abandoned EDENCOM structure after its cloak began failing over a storm planet in the system of Athounon. Capsuleers have also found mysterious construction sites across space, with some believing these to be stellar harvesters and stargates being independently constructed by the empires, leaving the tenuous peace between them at risk.

Keep your eyes open as the narrative arc progresses, and be sure to take part as the story unfolds. Your involvement will help shape New Eden by revealing fresh features to help in future battles, including brand-new ships in-game, some of which will be unveiled much sooner than others. The introduction of these new ships will increase the diversity of tools available to a wide array of capsuleers, from those just starting their journey to more established veterans, while bringing some serious visual intimidation to the battlefield!

The Uprising expansion brings many significant changes to Factional Warfare some of which are outlined in the State of the Union news item including a complete rework of complexes, and a new advantage functionality that allows you to give your chosen Faction an edge in FW.

This part of the expansion aims to evolve Factional Warfare into a more intense and exciting combat playstyle for FW enthusiasts. There will be more incentives to support and fight for your favorite Empire, a wider array of opportunities to contribute to the war effort across the warzone, and new events will be introduced creating more possibilities for empires to issue campaign objectives to those who enlist.

This is only the beginning! There are even more exciting improvements following this expansion that will help open the gates even further to Factional Warfare in EVE, with a significant update that includes factional allegiance, targeted for Q1 of 2023. This will allow players to aid a Faction in FW irrespective of corporation or alliance.

A phased rollout of Factional Warfare improvements enables us to observe how players in the current FW ecosystem interact with the features without tipping the scales too drastically too quickly. Allegiance is a focus to address, as we know many capsuleers are excited about Factional Warfare and are eager to get involved.

For those pilots not currently enlisted in FW, there will still be plenty for you to do across the warzone, roles to perform, stories to partake in, and amazing rewards to earn.

Furthermore, the new Frontlines in Factional Warfare will draw pilots closer to the borders of their opponents and present new rewarding challenges that focus capsuleer efforts towards key, emerging conflict hot spots where empire history will be written!

Alongside this big shake up of combat strategy, opportunities to earn rewards that unlock Heraldry on ships will be made available. Corporation and alliance logos on ships will act as the introduction to Heraldry, with many more customization options on the horizon following this initial launch such as citadel SKINs and holograms on ships.

If that wasn’t enough, there will be massive enhancements to Upwell hangars that will ramp up the visual immersion while docking and undocking in New Eden. The special attention put into this visual upgrade helps ensure that when you undock from your new hangar, you’ll still get out into space at a speed that is on par with other structures in the game. What better way to admire those fantastic alliance logos and new ships than in a beautiful new hangar?

From now until the release of Uprising in November, there will be a steady stream of updates and content as shown in the roadmap below, while the narrative arc will also continue to advance the story in-game. Our goal moving forward is to unveil more of our roadmap to the community as time progresses. Stay alert, keep your eyes to the stars, your warp drive ready, and your ammo loaded.

The time is quickly approaching for capsuleers across the cluster to rise up, unite under their banners, storm the frontlines, and do it in style!

Diablo Immortal – Find Your Inner Light

Season 4 of the Battle Pass Brings Even More Content

On September 1st, Blizzard started the fourth season of the Battle Pass, and with it they introduced the latest sparkly cosmetic, new events and the next Helliquary horror (or two, in fact) to be vanquished. If you wish to view the original release information, please click here.

Season Four Battle Pass: Inner Light

I won’t repeat all the normal rewards for the Battle Pass, as most people looking at this will have already been there and done it so know what to expect. But I will show you the latest cosmetic.

When all hope seems lost, turn to yourself, embrace the light within, for it exists in us all.
–Enforcers of the Zakarum faith.

Stalwart in their worship of the light, Zakarumites fervently resist anything evil—an appropriate sentiment in these dark times. The demonic threats you encounter while roaming Sanctuary will attempt to overtake you, but in these moments, you must prevail by flooding the battlefield with the beshadowed light of Zakarum.

New Helliquary Boss: Gishtur and Beledwe (The Twin Terrors)

Rayek has located not just one, but two diabolical demonic threats this time! Twin flames forged from the same inseparable, swirling chaos, Gishtur and Beledwe are the fourth Helliquary boss to threaten Sanctuary. This malefic pair of hellspawn have a knack for crafting some of the most formidable weapons to have graced the battlefield, operating the Hellforge for the Great Evils or fusing souls and flesh in their own Fellsteel Foundry—reserving only the finest armaments for their own personal use.

Beledwe prefers a flame-infused trident, using it to call down meteor strikes and summon burning orbs that seek you out. Gishtur goes for a more close-quarters approach, sporting a massive, spiked sword and entering a frenzied whirlwind to close any gap. Be cautious, as they’re known to incinerate opponents’ side-by-side.

If your Combat Rating is at least 4665, assemble your group of hardened adventurers, come to Rayek’s aid, and confront Gishtur and Beledwe starting on September 2 at 3:00 a.m. server time by visiting the Einfrinn Tree in Westmarch. In the event you’re able to put this evil to rest, you’ll be rewarded with their remains, Twin Horns. Equipping this item in the top slot of the Helliquary will provide you with a 10% cooldown reduction to your skills while inside Challenge Rifts.

This Season’s Events

The Hungering Moon event returns

The moon’s insatiable hunger persists, and it demands more blood. . . perhaps even yours! Gaze upon the moon—bask in its hallowed glow, heed its howl for sustenance, and lunar-laced blessings you shall be bestowed. Fulfilling the moon’s demands will earn you Moonslivers, which can be traded for Blessings. After acquiring seven Blessings you will have curried enough goodwill with the moon to trade these in for a random reward. Offer enough blessings to the moon and it will even present you with its favor!

We welcome brave adventurers to lend their hand in satiating the moon’s hunger from September 9, 3:00 a.m.–September 12, 3:00 a.m. server time.

The Scorched Sea Limited-Time Event

There are few in Sanctuary capable enough to stand against the darkness and wager their life for the defenseless. But you, adventurer, have consigned your days to thinning out the ranks of the Burning Hells, ushering in safety where all hope was once lost. The downtrodden look up to you, and to continue serving them, you must walk the sandy wastes of the Scorched Sea.

From September 14 at 3:00 a.m.–September 28 at 3:00 a.m. server time, as you complete daily Scorched Sea tasks, you’ll receive various rewards for your heroics. Racking up enough completed tasks will also unlock milestone rewards for you, such as the sand-blasted Scorched Sea Portrait Frame—an ode to vanquishing countless demons.

Mists of Cyrangar Limited-Time Event

Rumor says unspeakable horrors lie shrouded in the mist—what new dangers await you, adventurer?

Completing Mists of Cyrangar tasks from September 21 at 3:00 a.m.–September 30 at 3:00 a.m. server time will net you a bounty of rewards to aid your travels. Pay special attention to the imagery on the event page, for the mist will slowly clear with each completed task, revealing a hint tied to this first upcoming Major Update.

To prepare you for this momentous occasion, during the Mists of Cyrangar event, a bonus experience buff will be active for all players who are behind the Server Paragon Level. This bonus will only be active for you until you’ve caught up to the Server Paragon Level. The dangers coming with our first Major Update will put your skills to the test, ultimately pushing you. Blizzard want to give players an opportunity to catch up to the Server Paragon Level so they have a fighting chance against Sanctuary’s newest threats when the time comes.
