Whiteout Survival’s 2nd Birthday!

2 Years Old and The Game is Growing Up Fast!

I’ve been playing this nice little free-to-play, city builder since around August of 2024. Today, I logged in to be greeted by a welcome video. I saw there was a gift of free gems for clicking the “play” button so decided why not?

So, Why l Are You Telling Us?

I play a lot of different games and, as with most city-builders, these take time and daily input to grow and keep safe through regular player-versus-play events. Whiteout Survival makes up my triumverate, alongside Evony: The King’s Return, and Mecha Domination: Rampage, and a lot of my free time is taken up by these bad boys!

Due to time restraints, a few months ago, I very nearly had to quit one of these games. Unfortunately, it was WoS that was “on the chopping block” as it was the newest for me, and with the least developed city of the three. I took a trip to the main alliance’s academy and discovered that, with less pressure to participate in every event and be active all the time, I had the breathing room to log in if and when I had the time.

However, this morning – coinciding with the release of this birthday video – I discovered that I had in fact logged in for 31 days straight, meaning I had finally got the balance right. I am so glad I didn’t quit it as the people I play alongside are so friendly and knowedgeable, and the game itself is really fun. There have been many updates over the past six months that have added so many new events, heroes and some cool and addictive mini-games.

Happy second birthday Whiteout Survival, I’ll see you on your 3rd!

EVE Online – 20 Years in Space!

Join the legends of EVE and etch your legacy

Attention Capsuleers,

This year sees the celebration of a momentous milestone – 20 incredible years of EVE Online! As a testament to your commitment and the legacy you have built together over the past two decades, we’re expanding the EVE Monument, and now you have a unique opportunity to permanently carve your legacy into New Eden’s history.

The Worlds Within A World EVE Monument in Reykjavík, Iceland, is an awe-inspiring tribute to dedicated EVE pilots that was created as part of the celebrations around EVE’s 10th anniversary and is engraved with over half a million names for all to admire. Now, for the first time in 10 years, you have the rare opportunity to add your character’s name to the monument and forever join the legends of New Eden in being immortalized!

ETCH YOUR PLACE IN HISTORY

To have your character’s name engraved on the monumental expansion, make sure to have an active Omega account on 6 May 2023 (in any time zone), and your character with the highest amount of Skill Points will forever stand alongside the legends of New Eden. If you’re already among those immortalized on the monument, your loyalty for also being an Omega pilot on 6 May 2023 will be additionally honored with a prestigious titan chevron icon on the monument. Also for those already on the monument, you will be given the opportunity to choose which character to use for engraving in case there is a different character you have that has more Skill Points now than 10 years ago.

The expanded monument will be revealed at Fanfest 2023, with all tiles on the current monument renewed, along with an updated webpage that’ll allow you to zero in on the coordinates of the tile containing your legacy.

THE CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE

The fun doesn’t end there, though, as May will be filled with celebrations. Join the Capsuleer Day event starting on 2 May filled with unexpected twists and turns and exclusive anniversary themed rewards that can only be claimed by logging in as they will be soulbound, the stunning reveal of The Fabric of New Eden Mosaic and join us for a jaw-dropping fireworks show at Jita 4-4 on 6 May.

LGC Spotlight – War Robots

Check Out This Fantastic, Free-to-Play, War Machine Epic

I’ve never been so surprised to find something new from a random YouTube advert. To be honest the advert showed content I’ve yet to see, but this little gem has had me playing until the early hours of the morning, without even knowing it!

Here Are the Details…

War Robots (previously titled Walking War Robots) is mobile app game developed and published by the game developer, Pixonic. It is also available for the PC, on the GameCenter platform (My.GAMES), and STEAM.

In this game, players pilot giant robots (Mechs) in either 6 vs 6, or 6 player free-for-all matches. Battles take place on random detailed maps, where players compete for either beacon control or total destruction of the enemy, in the form of Team Deathmatch, within a time limit of 10 minutes.

Destroy enemy robots, capture all the beacons, and upgrade your weapons to increase your battle robot’s combat strength, speed and durability. Prove yourself in each map and use different strategies and tactics to emerge victorious in battle.

There are over 50 unique robots, and a plethora of weapons and upgrades which allow for people to decide on their own build. Later on in the game, players will have access to titans – Humungous war machines that decimate anything left on the battlefield.

The one reason I wanted to shine a spotlight on this game is that, even though the game has microtransactions, and could fall victim to putting off Free-to-Play (F2P) players, if they were pitted against “whales”, I have not spent a penny and the action is rewarding and feels fair. Despite some people having access to larger machines, it doesn’t feel like I’ve ever been put in a battle where I can’t have a good fight and enjoy myself. I fully intend on starting a small clan on this, as soon as I get the last of the currency I need.

Lox – Owner of only 4 low-level mechs!

Eight years ago, War Robots was released. Today, the project is all grown up and still gaining popularity. The game has more than 200 million registered players, with a third of active players being with us for more than two  years. Platforms also give global features regularly. Few mobile projects can claim such a lifetime. It is a result of the hard work of our team and its desire to find new growth points.

During the last year, we completed our massive task of War Robots remastered version with the release of HD graphics and a content Delivery System that made it easier for players to download updates. We created tons of new content and structured it. And we continue to support our community and constantly communicate with the players.
