LoxTech Legends Leaderboard – Season 1 Results

Points Calculated, Scores Are In & Winners Crowned!

I realise I ever actually made a first post, at the beginning of this first season of the competition, but the members in the LGC’s Diablo Immortal clan have been working hard in an effort to improve their characters and get involved with clan activities, all in the spirit of unity and point-scoring!

Top 5 Ranked Players for Season 1

  1. AistisSlayer with 11,792 points
  2. Influx with 10,248 points
  3. BiggZ with 9,680 points
  4. Deimoss with 9,414 points
  5. Loxidae (Me!) with 8,595 points

Top 5 Prize-Winners for Season 1

As some of the clan members opted-out of receiving prizes, or were exempt, like myself, prizes awarded to the top 5 ranked players will cycle downwards to the next eligible players. So, the prizes go to…

  • AistisSlayer (Tier 1 prize)
  • Deimoss (Tier 2 prize)
  • Stilwell (Tier 2 prize
  • 7Knights (Tier 3 prize)
  • Tsipouros (Tier 3 prize)

The Final Score..

The final scores calculated for all players were based on several factors, such as their character progression, engagement with clan activities and being active on Discord – our main hub of social activity. The purpose of the competition in the first place was to try and revitilise the clan and give more motivation to the members, in a game where it can be hard to remain so. If you wish to be involved, you need to be a member of the LoxTech Legends clan (on the Diamond Gates server). More information about this competition, including details for Season 2, can be found in the leaderboard sub-pages.

Diablo Immortal – “Fractured Plane” Mini Update

Check Out The Latest Update Information!

Information sourced from Blizzard.com

Fractured Plane Limited Time-Event

Spawn of Damnation Cosmetic Set

In a place like Sanctuary, even those with the utmost mental fortitude can find themselves lost to the unrelenting darkness spread by the Burning Hells. Broken. Shattered. Trapped in the deepest recesses of their mind—entering the Fractured Plane is the only way forward.

The Fractured Plane is a new limited-time event where players enter an unexplored realm of their existence. A 15-floor gauntlet, inhabited by the fiercest minions the Hells can throw your way awaits. Your journey in the Fractured Plane begins without your usual gear, gems, and skills. Instead, you will be provided with a set of pre-selected skills for your class. To advance, you must rely solely on your wits, unstable gear you find, and the Chaos Coins you receive from progressing through hordes of demons. Best of all, only unstable gear of Legendary rarity will drop in the Fractured Plane, and items you receive will complement the skills you begin with, equipping you with the ability to make, and tweak, your build on the fly. When your journey in the Fractured Plane is over, all the unstable gear you’ve collected will vanish.

The Chaos Coins you earn will also come to your aid—spent at the Chaos Broker, you can exchange Chaos Coins for new items or Shards of Fortune. These shards will increase your Fortune Rating, providing a greater chance of receiving higher-quality Legendary items from chests on each floor. If you’re resourceful enough to make it to the fifteenth floor without dying more than five times, you’ll receive a reward. Out of all the Legendary items you’ve encountered during your run, select six, and out of those six, you will be rewarded one at random for you to carry out of the Fractured Plane.

Developer’s Note: The Fractured Plane limited-time event was created to invite players to try new skills and Legendary items that they might not typically use, while offering a nuanced, but challenging, way to play Immortal. We wanted to provide players with an opportunity to start from scratch to see how well they can play their class no matter the circumstances.

Echo of the Immortal

Whispers of an impending clash between the guileful Shadows and the exemplary Immortal have flooded Westmarch. From back-alley conversations, to passing exchanges across Rakkis Plaza, the known might of the Immortal echoes throughout the city, but can the Shadows usurp power? From August 17 at 3:00 a.m.–September 14 at 3:00 a.m. server time, Echo of the Immortal—a limited-time, repeatable game mode, will be available for players who are at least Level 40 to showcase their PvP prowess in a Challenge of the Immortal-style battle.

In Echo of the Immortal, 15 players will face-off against one randomly chosen player who is imbued with the power of the Immortal. If the group of players are victorious in besting the Immortal, the match becomes a free-for-all—only the best-of-the-best will claim the reward and bragging rights! To try your hand at Echo of the Immortal, speak to the Battleground Captain in Westmarch.

Into the Dark Wood Limited-Time Event

There are few in Sanctuary capable enough to stand against the darkness and wager their life for the defenseless. But you, adventurer, have consigned your days to thinning out the ranks of the Burning Hells, ushering in safety where all hope was once lost. The downtrodden look up to you, and to continue serving them, you must travel into the unknown, Into the Dark Wood.

From August 17 at 3:00 a.m.–August 31 at 3:00 a.m. server time, as you complete daily Into the Dark Wood tasks, you’ll receive various types of rewards for your heroics. Racking up enough completed tasks will also unlock milestone rewards for you, such as the festive Wreath of Blood Portrait Frame.

Hungering Moon

The moon’s insatiable hunger persists, and it demands more blood. . . perhaps even yours! Gaze upon the moon—bask in its hallowed glow, heed its howl for sustenance, and lunar-laced blessings you shall be bestowed. Fulfilling the moon’s demands will earn you Moonslivers, which can be traded for Blessings. After acquiring seven Blessings you will have curried enough goodwill with the moon to trade these in for a random reward. Offer enough blessings to the moon and it will even present you with its favor!

We welcome brave adventurers to lend their hand in satiating the moon’s hunger from August 26, 3:00 a.m.–August 29, 3:00 a.m. server time.

Spawn of Damnation Cosmetic Set

Ancient tomes inscribed by the Horadric Order suggest armor can be forged from the flesh of demons. While assumed to be wholly protective and sturdy, there is uncertainty around the effect this might have on the wearer’s mind. Will they too become another mindless Spawn of Damnation?

It may not trick the demons of the Burning Hells, but this diabolical panoply still sends a message: their timely demise draws near. If you’d like to don demonskin before your next skirmish, the Spawn of Damnation Cosmetic Set can be purchased from the in-game shop.

Feature Updates

Multiplayer Requirement in High Hell Difficulties Improvement

  • You can now enter a Dungeon or Hidden Lair in Hell Two or higher difficulties with two, three, or four players. The Dungeon’s intensity will remain tuned for four players.
  • Completing a Dungeon or Hidden Lair with four players will provide you with a bonus chest.

Developer’s Note: We’ve received feedback that players find the current four-player requirement to be too restrictive. While we want Dungeons to be inherently social experiences, we also want them to be accessible and challenging, hence lowering the requirement to a minimum of two players. In Immortal, we want to ensure that adding more players to a particular gameplay activity is always seen as a benefit to those involved. By setting the difficulty of these Dungeons to always be tuned for four players, having a friend join, regardless of their power level, supplements our design philosophy.

Warband Improvements

  • The Codex step of needing to start a Warband Camp has been changed to be—join a Warband.
  • The Hero’s Journey step to submit 10 Warband Chests has been removed.

Developer’s Note: As we plan for the future of Warbands, we want to ensure players who opt out of the feature don’t see them as a major obstacle to their progression. We want to have light steps that are easy to complete rather than difficult steps that can become roadblocks. In the future, we plan to create Warband content that provides fun and rewarding experiences as incentives for playing with a small group of friends.

Class Change Improvement

  • You can now essence transfer onto Reservist Gear after changing your class.

Vault of the Immortal

  • The Raid the Vault event window has been shortened from two hours to one.

Treasure Goblin Improvement

  • Treasure Goblins now have a chance to drop Legendary items. They will also provide more loot in general when defeated.

Thirty-Six New Legendary Items

A new slate of menacing weapons and fortified armors have been added in today’s content update. Many of the Legendary powers are centered around crowd control effects. Each class has received six items, adding even more Legendary affixes to hunt down and shake up your builds with.

    • Extraction Harness (Shoulders): Teleport now also removes the last harmful effect applied to you.
    • Fragments Upon Fragments (Pants): Meteor now drops several meteorites in a direction, knocking enemies away and Stunning them.

Diablo Immortal – How to Improve Your Combat Rating (CR)

Featured

Check Out this Quick Guide for Increasing Your CR

Important: This quick guide has been written for those who already know the base mechanics of Diablo Immortal. If you are a brand new player, then there will be countless other guides which will include more basic information about how the game works. Published 29th July 2022.

In Diablo Immortal, a character’s ability to fight on any difficulty level is determined by their Combat Rating, or “CR” for short. This single statistic is formulated from things like:

  • Equipped Gear & Upgrade Level;
  • Socketed Normal and Legendary Gems;
  • Your Helliquary Level;
  • Upgrades to the Legacy of the Horadrim Vessels [Click to visit my guide on this]
  • Other Things That Can Help You… (Listed at the bottom)

This short guide will give you some information about the kind of tasks/activities you can do to increase your CR at a good rate, but there may be more stuff you can do. I am not an expert, just a player. I’ve written this as a response to more than one person asking in our Discord how they can improve their CR.

Before I go on, there is one important point I have to make:

Be PatientIt is not always a quick process to upgrade gear/gems and you will often hit slumps where you may only make gains of just a few CR points a day, and other times where you could add several hundred. It is unpredictable (unless you’re a whale who buys legendary crests and farms rifts!)

Equipped Gear

The goal of any player wanting to increase their CR, as quickly as possible, is to pick up legendary items for all the equipment slots. The game is designed to allow for legendary gear to be dropped by almost all creatures, chests and mission/quest rewards, BUT you can improve your chances by doing the following activities:

Dungeons:
This is one of the best ways to collect legendary gear. It is very common for the end boss of a dungeon to drop legendary gear, including Set Pieces. With a good party, or high level chars running you through, you could easily farm some nice gear in a short amount of time.

Bestiary:
Killing any creature in the game can result in the drop of a “Monstrous Essence”. Collect 10 of these and you can go to the nearest Safe Zone and use the Bestiary altar to decipher pages. Although you can only decipher up to three pages a day, you can claim your rewards as many times as you collect 10 essences. I have found this to be a good source of legendaries.

Shadow Contracts:
Each day, Bartender Bailey, in the Wolf City Tavern in Westmarch, offers Shadow players 1 or more contracts to complete. Among the rewards for completing these contracts is often a legendary item.

The Rarities and Antiquities Merchant:
This fellow, Yakin, can be found in Westmarch, along the southeastern end of Rakkis Plaza. His services will become available as you advance the main questline. You can spend extra gold with this guy to randomly generate items, for money. I advise only doing this a maximum of 10 times per day, per item category, as his prices go up after this point and it is really uneconomical. I once found 3 legendaries in the first set of 10 items I bought, so it can happen!

World Events & Bosses:
Each area of the game has it’s own world event to complete (Purge the Corruption, Call of the Ancients, Tax Collector, to name a few), or maybe a world boss (Blood Rose, Lord Martanos, Ancient Nightmare, Sand Golem, Hydra etc.) to vanquish. These attract a high drop rate for legendaries too.

Mob Farming:
The drop rate for normal creatures is infinitesimally small. However, when you’re out killing and you see an Ancient Elite (orange/brown icon on map)… KILL IT. The drop rate for legendaries from these creatures is high.

Note: It is important to note that Charms will also provide a CR boost, especially if you level their abilities up to.

Upgrading Your Gear

Now you have legendary equipment, you need to make sure that you upgrade it as often as possible. To do this, you will need the services of any of the blacksmiths around Sanctuary. I am hoping that, as you’ve been playing, you’ve been picking up all the loot dropped by the mobs and using the blacksmith to salvage it into scraps, dust or even glowing shards (from unwanted legendaries). You will need every piece of salvage you can get your hands on so please don’t dismiss those white, common loot drops…. you will see over time that you will never get enough!

Upgrading legendary gear requires all of it, but Glowing Shards are the hardest to get. It is largely only obtainable by salvaging legendary gear that you’ve picked up but not needed as you already have it, or it is inferior. There is also a recurring quest in the Dark Wood to fight your own dark shadow which rewards a players with a glowing shard each time.

In Westmarch, there is a vendor by the blacksmith, Charsi, who can convert lesser materials into higher class materials. This is a good service, but be careful not to overspend on scraps into dust, as then you’ll have to go collecting so much more scrap to upgrade stuff – you’ll need a good quantity of both.

Also, secondary gear requires Enigmatic Crystals which are mainly sourced from completing Challenge Rifts, but can also be a gift on the Battle Pass. Do not forget to upgrade secondary gear alongside primary!

Gems, Gems and Even Better Gems

Your CR will improve dramatically if you improve your gems, especially the legendaries.

Normal Gems

These gems are dropped by most of the creatures in the game but they are fairly rare to get. There are a couple of things you can do to improve your discovery of these little beauties:

Hilts Vendor:
The Hilts vendor in Westmarch allows 10 normal gems to be bought from him each week. Watch out for his special offers page as there is the option to buy 1 or 2 extra now and again.

Party of Four:
Just being in a party of four, with three other people, will give an automatic buff the the percentage chance of normal gems being dropped. Unlike other versions of Diablo, however, you will only ever see rank 1 normal gems drop.

Hidden Lairs:
These mini-dungeons, that randomly spawn in all areas of the game, are a fantastic way to boost your gem collection. For the first run through in a day, you can make around 6 normal gems just by doing the side quests that pop up as you go through, and by killing the boss at the end.

Legendary Gems

This is a little more complicated and I won’t go into the higher levels of these gems. By the time anyone gets there, they’ll probably know this game better than the developers or have moved on to Diablo 4 (out next year!). Legendary gems are predominantly sourced from Elder Rifts and/or can be Crafted by an Apprentice Jeweler. Levelling a legendary gem requires other legendary gems and this process gives a very healthy boost to CR. The problem is that it is not as easy to get them. The Battle Pass also gives some legendary gems out as rewards, more so if it is the Empowered Battle Pass.

Elder Rifts

There is a possibility for a legendary gem to drop from the end chest of an Elder Rift with no input, but I’ve only seen this a couple of times and not enough to actually upgrade another gem at this rate. What is needed are Eternal Legendary Crests to augment the rift. Each eternal crest will output a random legendary gem at the end of a rift, and up to 10 of these purple crests can be added to the rift before it begins. These can be obtained:

Buying Them from the In-game Store:
I wouldn’t spend money on them but many do.

Hilts Vendor:
This guy sells these for hilts at a rate of 1 per month (such a joke)!

Crest Merchant:
By the Elder and Challenge Rift entrances, is a merchant called Jondo Mauren. You can exchange Eternal Orbs (purchased only through microtransactions) for Eternal Legendary Crests.

Warband Voucher: (needs confirming)
I haven’t looked into this but there is a new mechanic whereby some warband raid awards a voucher that can be used to allow a player to buy an Eternal Legendary Crest from the Crest Merchant for platinum, rather than Eternal Orbs.

Crafting Legendary Gems

Alongside the miniscule chance that a legendary gem will naturally drop in an Elder Rifts, players can earn “Runes” and “Fading Embers” more easily. Beside the Elder Rift entrance is a Fading Ember Merchant, where a player can convert his embers into runes (for a price) and then these runes can be used by an Apprentice Jeweler to craft either specific 1-star legendary gems, or traded for random 1 or 2 star tradable gems. We don’t need to worry about the trading aspect here.

The player can choose which legendary gems he thinks will compliment his character and its build. The rest of the legendaries collected can be broken down, again by the jeweller, and used as materials to upgrade those socketed gems. Each time a legendary gem is upgraded, it will say how much of an increase to CR it will give. The higher the upgrade, the higher the CR boost.

The Helliquary

Each time your Helliquary is upgraded with Refined Scoria, This item gives an ever-increasing amount of CR, clearly visible on the item description.

Scoria is obtained by either killing the Helliquary bosses, or as gifts from the battlepass. This has to refined, using the services of a blacksmith.

Collecting and Upgrading the Legacy of the Horadrim Vessels

I have already covered most of the information regarding the LotH vessels in another guide found here.

For the purposes of this guide, the more you use the Culling Stones to upgrade the vessels, the higher the bonuses received and CR gained. I do not know how much CR is gained from boosting these types of stats and I apologise for not being more knowledgeable. What I will say though is that any stat boost will help you to kill stuff faster and earn more loot/cash for upgraded gear/gems.

Other Things That Can Help You…

Advancing Up Through the Paragon Levels

No matter what you CR is, you will still be able to fight at some level of the game and level up your character.

Once you have surpassed level 60, you will start to level into Paragons. Each time you gain a new paragon level, you will be awarded 1 paragon point to put into any of the paragon trees. Doing this will give you small, but cumulative bonuses to your characters statistics, including CR. This may be inaccurate, will investigate further.

Increasing You Shadow Rank

After being inducted into the Shadows, whether you decide to be in a Dark Clan or not, you are able to perform daily tasks, advance through the Path of Blood, raid the immortal vault, take on Shadow Contracts and/or attend the daily Assembly – to give and receive Blessings.

Doing these daily tasks can award you “Shadow Marks”, which are basically points which build up and allow you to continually increase your Shadow Rank. Each time you gain a rank, you will given a base bonus of 1% to attack and defence. So, if you reach rank 10, which in game terms is “Watcher III”, you will receive a 10% attack and 10% defence bonus to your character.

Note: If you are a member of a Dark Clan, doing all the above Shadow tasks also adds points to the Clan, which is really important for the clan leader boards and positionings for Shadow Wars. This is a different topic and one I won’t be covering here.

As I said at the start, I am not an expert and apologise if I have either missed out information or got it slightly wrong. Please feel free to let me know either via the Contact form, or Discord, if important changes need to be made.

Diablo Immortal – Class Change & New Features

This Patch is Due for Release on 20th July 2022

A few weeks ago, Blizzard provided us with their first batch of post-launch content for Diablo Immortal. This week, they’re “excited” to unveil the new Class Change mechanic, two in-game events, the deadliest Helliquary boss yet, and more. All the items mentioned below will go live on July 20 at 3 a.m. server time—specific dates for content going live afterward are provided below. Let’s dive right in!

This Content has been Sourced from Official Blizzard Site: Click here to go see it

CODEX

  • Class Change
  • Hero’s Journey
  • Adventurer’s Path Limited-Time Event
  • New Helliquary Boss: Gorgothra the Claimer
  • Hungering Moon Limited-Time Event
  • Amber Blades Cosmetic Set
  • Feature Updates

Class Change

In Diablo games, your journey begins with an important choice: which class will you play as? To alleviate some of the pressure associated with this choice, and to equip players with increased flexibility in how they play, we’re adding a new Class Change mechanic to Diablo Immortal.

After being up close and personal as a Barbarian, perhaps you’re ready to sheathe your swords and manipulate arcane forces from afar as a Wizard. Class Change presents an opportunity for a fresh start while maintaining most of your previous progress. To experience Sanctuary anew as a different class, visit the Shifting Flames brazier in Westmarch to begin.

Below are a few rules surrounding the Class Change mechanic:

  • Class Change becomes available for a character beginning at level 35.
  • You may change your class once every seven days and at no cost—there is also a one-time option to immediately revert to your previous class, skipping the seven-day waiting period. There are no current plans to allow players to purchase the ability to change classes more frequently.
  • When you change to each class for the first time, you can set the appearance of your character and receive a full reset of your Paragon Trees.
  • Upon changing to each class for the first time, you will be granted placeholder gear. The placeholder gear will have an equivalent rank to the previously equipped gear of your last class.
  • All Clan, Warband and other social group affiliations will carry over.
  • Some class-specific cosmetics and gear will not carry over when you change classes. All gear equipped to your previous class will be available in your inventory. Any cosmetics owned for a class will be retained on that class and will be available upon changing back to it.

Hero’s Journey

Muster all your grit and tenacity, for the journey ahead is rife with both untold glory and righteous rewards. Hero’s Journey is a new end-game experience that unlocks for adventurers during the Frozen Tundra portion of the main questline. Consisting of four chapters, with two more planned for the future, Hero’s Journey will send you to complete mettle-testing objectives that scale in difficulty as you rise in Paragon Level.

If you can prove you’re up to the task, a bounty of rewards is here to greet you upon completing each chapter. These range from large sums of gold or Platinum to Aspirant’s Keys, Legendary Crests, and even the Glorious Journey Portrait Frame.

Adventurer’s Path Limited-Time Event

In Sanctuary few are capable enough to stand against the darkness and wager their life for the defenseless. But you, adventurer, have consigned your days to thinning out the ranks of the Burning Hells, ushering in safety where all hope was once lost. The downtrodden look up to you, and to continue serving them, you must walk the Adventurer’s Path.

From July 20 at 3:00 a.m.–August 3 at 3:00 a.m. server time, as you complete Adventurer’s Path tasks, you’ll earn gold, enchanted dust, and scrap materials for your heroics. Racking up enough completed tasks will also unlock milestone rewards for you:

  • Upon completion of eight tasks: 10 Aspirant’s keys
  • Upon completion of 16 tasks: the Adventurer’s Laurel Portrait Frame
  • Upon completion of 20 tasks: one Legendary Crest

New Helliquary Boss: Gorgothra the Claimer

Rayek has located another one! But he’s going to need the help of a few hardened adventurers to quell this gargantuan and impossibly ancient threat. Gorgothra is the third of the Wrathborne demons to plague Sanctuary. She has earned the worship of countless demons over the ages, but is no stranger to combat—her petrification rays, bilious venom, and serpentine strikes dwarf the power of Lassal and Vitaath.

Do you possess the demon-slaying prowess needed to overcome Gorgothra’s wrath? Or will you become another ossified corpse decorating her lair? Assemble your group at the Helliquary, for Gorgothra emerges on August 2.

Hungering Moon Limited-Time Event

The moon is back for seconds, and it demands more blood. . . perhaps even yours! Gaze upon the moon—bask in its hallowed glow, heed its howl for sustenance, and lunar-laced blessings you shall be bestowed. Fulfilling the moon’s demands will earn you Moonslivers, which can be traded for Blessings. After acquiring seven Blessings you will have curried enough goodwill with the moon to trade these in for a random reward such as: Enchanted Dust, Glowing Shards, and Legendary gear. Offer enough blessings to the moon and it will even present you with its favor—a bundle consisting of one Legendary Crest and more.

We welcome brave adventurers to lend their hand in satiating the moon’s hunger from July 29 3:00 a.m.–July 31 3:00 a.m. server time.

Amber Blades Cosmetic Set

The Amber Blades are one of the foremost desert gangs vying for control of Shassar, and notably less vicious in their behavior than their largest adversary, the Sand Scorpions. The Blades condemn the Scorpions’ forced labor and attacks on caravans, and take every opportunity to disrupt their most vicious plans. Whether this approach is a matter of morality or a recruiting technique is known only to the Amber Blades themselves.

Shield yourself from the sun’s unyielding rays while trekking through an unforgiving sea of sand with the Amber Blades Cosmetic Set—purchasable from the in-game shop.

If you’re looking for the newest round of hotfixes and bug fixes implemented for Diablo Immortal across all supported platforms, they can be found here. For PC-only hotfixes, bug fixes, and patch notes, visit our known issues blog.

We’ll see you in Sanctuary!

Feature Updates

Warband Raid

  • Completing a weekly Warband Raid will now allow you to purchase an Eternal Legendary Crest for 1600 Platinum from the Crest Merchant in Westmarch, Jondo Mouren.

Developer’s Note: Because the purchasable Crest is Eternal, this provides you with an additional avenue to obtain gems that can be sold on the Marketplace.

Fading Ember

  • The Fading Ember cap has been increased from 200 to 280.
  • You may now trade 22 Fa Runes for an Eternal Legendary Crest.

Developer’s Note: This means that you can now craft a random Legendary Gem once per week if you max out your Fading Embers.

New Monster Affixes

  • Shell: Summons a defensive shield, preventing Life loss until it is destroyed.
  • Siphon: Channels a draining beam at one target that Slows and leeches Life to heal for five seconds.

Zwenson’s Haunting

  • Changed the ability description to read: When you defeat an enemy, a dark beast attacks nearby enemies, dealing X% base damage. Cannot occur more than once every X seconds.

Developer’s Note: The previous description incorrectly referenced summoning, which made the ability sound like a summon ability rather than an attack.

Blood-Soaked Jade

  • Changed the ability description to read: Increases all damage you deal by up to X% while at full Life, with a minimum bonus of Y% while at low Life. Increases your Movement Speed by Z%.

Developer’s Note: In the previous description, it wasn’t entirely clear that Movement Speed was a flat buff while the damage bonus was affected by your Life.

Thirty-six New Class Legendary Items:

Diablo Immortal – Patch Notes – Do we now have a Cow Level? [Updated]

Unofficial Patch Notes – 6th July 2022 Update

PC Client update size: 35MB —— In-game update size: 450MB

UPDATE: Link to official patch notes: https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diablo-immortal/23826542/diablo-immortal-s-first-post-launch-content-update#Bug

So, Diablo Immortal has been out for over a month, and we now finally have the first major update to the game. Blizzard did announce that there was due to be a patch around the end of the first season of the Battlepass, and players were evicted from the game this morning for this to happen.

Surprisingly, at the time of writing this, no-one has seen any indication that there are actual patch notes for people to read and digest. As people logged into the game after the servers came back up, World chat was scrolling with questions and confused players, desperate to find out what was new and whether they should even bother to continue to grind this game!

It is for this reason, I’m making my own. I’ve been to the Diablo Immortal Discord server, which had little to no information and I’ve been helped by many players within the “Diamond Gates” server and I’ll do my best to list all of these wonderful contributors.

Let’s Get Updated! – Diablo Immortal Patch Notes [6th July 2022] [Unofficial and Likely Misleading!]

Key Features and Gameplay Improvements

  • Added persistent server time clock to bottom-left of the user interface (PC) – Was already there, but previously had to tap the area. This must have been too challenging for some people :/
  • Can now type the letter “k” into chat without being told it’s bad language – lol, k?
  • Performance for players on Windows 7 machines seemed to have improved – Although “Gladys”, who reported this, did suggest it might have been because there weren’t many people logged in yet after the servers reinitialised. I feel bad for those still on Win 7. 😮
  • The initial opening sequence for the Codex has been shortened – That’s right, prepare to jump when the opening book whooshes at you now.
  • PC players who use controllers can enjoy a new “intelligent attack” system – Apparently, this prevents unwanted movement while performing attacks, from what I understand.

Additional Content

  • Elder Rifts now have something called “Demon Spires” which, when destroyed, increase the ER rewards – Not seen this yet! Thanks to “Destra” for this info.
  • The long awaited Cow Level has been introduced – This can be found…. nowhere, it’s all nasty lies from a NASTY LIAR!

Bug Fixes

  • You can now attack properly after using a channelled ability – Wow, it took over a month to fix this game-destroying bug? thanks to “Bomber” for this.
  • Apparently the Escape button now works properly – According to player: “Redknapp”, you can now press escape and it may actually bring up the main menu. Good work Blizzard.

Cosmetic Changes

  • Added developer logos to splash screen – Why advertise yourselves? This isn’t going all that well!

New Bugs!

  • Channelling: As a Wizard, If you hold down movement keys while channelling, your beam gets locked in place – OMFG, you just fixed one bug! Well done, Blizzard, this is some professional sh1t! check out “Microwave’s” evidence! https://imgur.com/a/oLPLz5T
  • Employing custom cursors seem to have been blocked – I use custom cursors so I can see mine during heavy gameplay but no matter how hard I try, the game seems to load original cursors from some hidden depth… not impressed Blizzard.

NOTE: Please let me know of any other additions, fixes or new bugs, et cetera, as I’ll add them here.

Conclusion

It’s a bit early to conclude anything as the full extent of this patch is unclear… as I’ve yet to see any patch notes, but it does seem to be fairly surface-level at the moment. I would apologise for the mocking tone but some of these updates are far from what bored players are eager to see, which is way more content and lessening of restrictions and monetisation for free to play (F2P) players.

I’m personally not seeing 450 megabytes of updates here so I’m going to go play and find some!

I’ve even been on the official Diablo Immortal Discord and not really seen much on there either, apart from what players are submitting. Though there is the following pinned message from PezRadar (Blizzard):

Diablo Immortal – New LGC PvP Cursors for PC! [Updated]

Tired of Losing Your Cursor in the Middle of Battle?

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that since the patch update, on 6th July 2022, the cursors were reset and I don’t seem to be able to replace the newer ones with my own, despite them definitely being in the cursors folder. I am looking into this as it seems the game is taking cursors from somewhere else but I cannot find out where… I’ll update.

I can guarantee that, at some point during your game, you have been immersed in battle against some elite boss or even in the battlegrounds, against other players and have not been able to fight properly as you keep losing sight of your cursor? well, this problem annoyed me so much I went on Google to find an answer and came across the following YouTube video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aD1c3VX29Zo

What Did I Do?

I went straight to cursor.cc and messed about with it myself. I tested the following design and it worked an absolute treat in-game. Yes, sure, it isn’t pretty but it worked!

There were two, this was the attack one. This had slightly bolder red.

Final Versions:

You can use the video above to learn how to easily swap out cursors, BUT I would advise just making a new folder in the cursor folder and just copy/pasting the originals in there, just in case you wish to swap back at any time.

So, I came back out the game and just went back to cursor.cc and tried to make them a little more appealing, without losing the bright colour that was needed. Of course, I added the LGC logo to the normal one. The attack one had to be full on target!

For normal moving etc.
When hovering over enemies, NPC or Player!

Download These Cursors…

If you want to make your own, just head to the cursor.cc page and have a go yourself. It is so easy to use.

Have fun! 😀

Diablo Immortal – “Legacy of the Horadrim” Quest Guide (Updated)

Legacy of the Horadrim: how to Unlock, Use & Upgrade

In Diablo Immortal, “Legacy of the Horadrim” are vessels that offer a great way for players to improve their character exclusively through items found in the game’s world. Unfortunately, some elements in the game are only available by making micro-purchases, sometimes referred to as Pay to Win (P2W), but thankfully this particular system is entirely earned in-game and grants huge benefits to your character.

The core information for this post has been sourced from ggrecon.com

These Horadrim vessels offer buffs to your character’s secondary attributes. Players can find these vessels throughout the world, by defeating the enemies that surround them, and then activate them to utilise them to the fullest potential. Some of the Horadrim vessels only contain singular benefits, but others buff multiple, making them invaluable for tackling some of the toughest, late-game enemies.

Unlocking the “Legacy of the Horadrim” Quest

There are requirements that need to be met before you are able to unlock the Legacy of the Horadrim quest, and start obtaining these valuable vessels.

  • You must have achieved a minimum of character level 49.
  • You must have completed 10 Challenge Rifts.

Once you have completed your tenth challenge rift, you will be awarded the Caldesann’s Compassion vessel (drop) and be granted access to the Legacy of the Horadrim quest. This quest will take you through the means of activating and making use of the vessels, so it is essential to do this quest as soon as possible.

The Quest and How to Use the Horadrim Vessels

Firstly, the “Legacy of the Horadrim” quest will take you to the fountain in the middle of Westmarch. Here you will be met by the spirit of Ibn Fahd. He will lead you to a statue in the north of the city which, after some dialogue, will slide back to reveal a hidden entrance.

Once inside the sanctum, players will be urged to interact with a shrine in the centre of the room. You will insert the first vessel you collected at the end of the tenth Challenge rift, thereby activating it and unlocking it’s true strength (player stats upgrade).

There are a total of nine Horadrim Vessels, and each one can be upgraded, so any stats you initially see are just a baseline for improvement.

List of Horadrim Vessels

Legacy of the Horadrim VesselBase Stat Bonus (per upgrade level)
Caldesann’s Compassion+9 Armour, +9 Armour Protection
Cathan’s Piety+9 Potency, +9 Resistance
Guilt Of The Nameless+18 Resistance
Ibn Fahd’s Tenacity+2 Damage, +20 Life
Jered Cain’s Vision+18 Armour
Nor Tiraj’s Knowledge+40 Life
Nulfur’s Precision+18 Armour Protection
Tal Rasha’s Authority+4 Damage
Zoltun Kulle’s Ingenuity+18 Potency

Upgrading Your Horadrim Vessels

As mentioned prior, the stats of the vessels are just a baseline, and they can be upgraded to get even stronger. To upgrade the Legacy of the Horadrim vessels, you will need Culling Stones. There are three types of stones and each vessel will need a certain amount of one of the types of Culling Stones to upgrade.

To find these culling stones, you will need to explore the Sanctum Depths, inside Ibn Fahd’s Sanctum, until you reach the Aspirant’s Grounds, and then they will be inside some chests there.

Unlocking these chests requires certain amounts of Aspirant’s Keys, but they can be found as drops from the monsters in the Sanctum Depths. They do have a low drop rate so you might need to be a bit persistent, but the rewards far outweigh the effort required. Keys are also available for purchase from a Hilts Vendor at a maximum of 5 per day.

The later chests do require more and more keys to unlock, so you’ll have to grind away if you’re wanting to max out your vessels and be the strongest you can be.

Check Out This Youtuber’s Guide

And That’s It… Almost!

From here on out you will have to go searching for the other Horadrim Vessels, throughout Sanctuary, kill a lot of creatures and keep upgrading your vessels! 🙂

(Update) When you check the altar and click on vessels you haven’t yet found, it will tell you at the bottom, in red writing, which creature needs to be killed, and on what difficulty – usually in Hell 1.
