Broken PC, Broken Health & Broken Spirit!

There I was, on Christmas Day, alone in my little cave, when my 10-day-old PC decided that it had already had enough of my poor gaming practices and the power supply unit died. As my only device, I was left alone and in limbo, with only the twinkling fairy lights and the local pidgeon population to keep me company (I like to put seed out on my windowsill and watch them all pile on top of each other to get some!). Eventually, I got it picked up for repairs and then I reverted to old school entertainment… a DVD player!

Then, as I waited for any news on the state of repairs, I suddenly started to get severe pain in my chest and back, preventing all sleep and making my life miserable. This got increasingly worse until I knew something was terribly wrong, and then called 999. After being admitted and given liquid morphine -which was awesome by the way! – I was tested and it turned out I had an inflamed gall bladder, with likely stones blocking the exit. Yeah, so I experienced a hospital stay for the first time.

As I write this, I am at home and on a course of powerful antibiotics and painkillers. I’ll have to sustain this until more tests can be done, and surgery arranged. The PC eventually returned to me and is back online. I know this is a depressing post, and I am only over-sharing as I need to explain why uploads to my YouTube channel have stalled.

The good news is that I have just recorded episode 5 of my second Oxygen Not Included series, and will be editing and releasing that soon. I have plans for so many games to play and release, but this will take time. I was getting increasingly stressed out about the amount I want to do, how much time it would take, and whether or not, I am suddenly going to get struck down again by my health, but I’ve taken advice from some of my wonderful community and just going to let it all go and just do what I can, when I can.

If you are a viewer of the @loxtech YouTube channel, make sure to have your notifications turned on and hopefully, you won’t miss the releases when they happen.

I am late, but I hope you all have a good 2026!
